Hey guys, I love playing this game whether it be dungeons, WvW, fractals, or whatever else. I join some guilds but it always seems that there are so few people on. Any large guilds out there willing to take in another?

Oh really, I didnt know that. Wow ok then my problem is no problem at all
Hey, I’m sorry if this isn’t the right place for this, but every time my friend wants to switch to my server, mine is full. It seems like it always is full, is there any advice yall could give me besides constantly guesting to other servers.
Alright thanks guys! I appreciate it.
Hey guys, I played for several months at release, and every few months following for several reasons. Anyway, I REALLY want to jump back in and do some dungeons but there are some things that used to discourage me from doing dungeons and I was wondering if there has been a change since then. I logged on to see that the LFG tool still seems useless for dungeons, and the few that are there for AC or CoF are Zerkers Only. Is there something I’m missing? It can’t be that brutally difficult to find a dungeon group right?
OP I think you would love to play EVE online.
Most of my friends have played other MMO’s like WOW and Rift. I’d love to convince them to play GW2
I couldn’t care less about new classes.
However, I’d really love to see new races. I’d like to see new races, more personal stories (more story in general, actually), more armor and more zones…
The game’s been out 1.5 years, I think it’s about time there was some major expansion with new armors or skills or the like. The April 15th feature pack is looking pretty good but it only does so much…
I feel ya. I totally agree and I feel like the living story is cool and everything, but come on Anet. The only new skins or armor that have come out are either ascended or on the gem store. Don’t get me wrong, the living story is an awesome thing, but it literally doesn’t add anything to the game (post-event) that enhances it at all besides a couple of souvenirs. Some of that time and effort could be spent elsewhere to make the game NOT feel almost the exact same since release. That sounded way more like a rant than it should have. I’m not unhappy with the progress this game has made, but still.
All of this is from my personal experience:
To begin, the approach to this game is way different than most MMO’s. In other games like WoW I felt like you could the game is sculpted to fit the hardcore stat-building, gear-grinding player.
Guild Wars 2 is a game where the intention is to do whatever it is you want. The primary objective in this game wasn’t meant to be for you to reach 80 asap. You’re supposed to explore and enjoy the aspects of the game. That being said you can do that with whatever it is you desire, that’s why you can gain XP from doing almost anything.
I had the feeling like that too like, “What am I doing… I don’t feel the progress that I do in other games.”
TLDR: In this game, this feeling isn’t bad. The game tends to casual players while still rewarding hardcore commitment.
The tengu bird people? can’t say I’m crazy about that but it’s still neat. I never played gw1 what kind of class was dervish like? A scythe sounds amazing. Also Greataxe would be legit too. Maybe its too similar mechanically to a GS to be put in though.
Before you bash for bringing the whole topic up, let me say that I understand that there isn’t any speculation or public plan to make any new races or classes as of now from Anet. But since GW2 is so different from other MMOs, I find myself constantly learning new things about the community and its interests. I for one would totally dig a new class or race, but I see some people say they are absolutely fine with the amount of current classes.
I feel like the classes are for the most part archetypes, I can never help but wonder what it would be like (for example) if some kind of Priest class or Dark Knight class would be added. Just my personal curiosity.
How do you guys feel and why? Are new classes or races something you desire?
Wow this post is getting some great responses. I’ll TLDR what I’ve seen in general
People who want new Classes: It seems that the majority of players would prefer that ANET balances the current classes to a satisfactory degree BEFORE adding any new classes. There are also those that are totally fine with balance and would prefer the new flavor of a class instead.
People who want new Races: The solid majority of the players would enjoy a new race. Some have a preference, some don’t care what it is. The big think that interests the players for a new race is the new area and story it would come with.
Hopefully that was at least somewhat useful to someone.

I leveled cooking to level 400 on every charakter so far. Getting 7 levels in like an hour nearly for free is always nice to have.
Ahhh thats what I was looking for. Did you wait until towards 80 or towards the early levels because I thought I heard that makes a difference. Also about how much money does it take?
I never did it near release but I just started playing again and I’ve got a ton of karma and a solid amount of gold. I was just wondering if it was still efficient or even doable. Or if there’s something i’m just plain forgetting, please let me know! Thanks.
Hey guys thanks for reading. Ive had gw2 since release and I’ve always been in agreement and adoration of the game and its system, but there is just one problem for me personally. I find it hard to stay motivating to do hearts and participate in events when to me it FEELS like im leveling extremely slowly. I have 1 80 so I know the end game fairly well and I want to reach that on a second character! but I just cant seem to stay interested for more than 8 levels at a time!
Obviously this isnt with everyone because I see people with TONS of max level toons.
I enjoy the content and have completed every zone, but… Idk what keeps you guys motivated?
