I remember the first time I hit the 3 downed skill, shocked the hell out of me how good it was. Too bad it takes so long though. If I’m swarmed by mobs there’s no time to get it off.
Darn, after coming back to the game after a couple months absence and deciding on an engineer this thread is a little nerve wracking. Does the engineer have any redeeming qualities left?
Oh man, Risen mobs are the absolute worst. Take everything you have learned as a ranger from level 1-70 and throw it out the window.
So you are asking us to do the hard work for you? I’m sure everyone who has ever submitted a build has considered it “strong” so you’re just going to have to look through them.
I am so bored with the personal story. I’m level 80 and have a little left but Trehearne is just a horrible character who has little to no depth. I know I need to finish it eventually but I’m just so damn bored with it that I’m finding it difficult to do it.
Oh, that’s odd. I made a Norn that is under the Wolf and the first quest line involved me working with the wolf “shamans” and receiving wolf’s blessing. I figured it was because I chose Wolf and not the others.
Yes, when you take them off of your allies they will begin ticking on you.
I continue to have the same issue. I have tried countless times to buy gems from the gem store with each time getting an error saying it can’t be completed.

I do not agree with the first post. There are different builds and different methods you could learn over the course of your leveling 30+ that would give you a much better appreciation for your class.
Not sure why it would bother anyone. If you don’t like it, then just don’t use it.
I’m having the same issue and support isn’t helping me. I was able to buy gems when the game first came out but since then I can’t. All cards/paypal have more than enough funds as well.

Even though you may think it’s guild wars doing it, it still seems like it’s your computer. Maybe guild wars just makes your machine run really hot to the point of needed to restart. Plus, you said you are fine for hours…well maybe it’s after those hours that your machine just craps out and dies and needs to be restarted to control heat.
I already put a ticket in for my issue. Waiting to hear back from them. They are losing money if anything because I can’t buy the gems to begin with. Something is preventing me (and it’s not lack of funds) from purchasing the gems to begin with.
Sounds like an issue with your computer. Is anything overheating or do you have any other issues anywhere else on your PC (noticeable during other games, while online, etc.?) The game may crash to desktop but your computer restarting just sounds like it’s trying to protect itself from damage (i.e. overheating, which is the first thing that comes to mind for me.)
The pet names are definitely messed up. Sucks because I had a really cool name for my dog that I can’t remember for the life of me. The names for the pets need to be coded in a way that it’s remembered per class of animal, not per slot like it currently is.
I tried adding gems to my account and successfully went through paypal but the final page where it says “Thank you for your purchase” kept saying that there was an authorization failure. PayPal is fine and my check card are fine so there is something on the ArenaNet side preventing the purchase from taking place. I’m a little nervous that maybe it did charge me but so far I haven’t seen anything yet. I tried it twice, once with Paypal, the other straight from my credit card (with more than enough funds to cover a $20 purchase) and both didn’t go through. Something is definitely wrong and I’m afraid to try again.
