Without trying to seem like a complainer but what is supposed to be the drop rate for badges of honor in WvW from player kills. Now I am in no means a 24/7 WvW fanatic but the prerequisite of 500 badges of honor to construct any legendary seems quite prohibitive.
Now I completely do understand that one should have to adventure in all parts of the game in order to claim the ultimate in cosmetic achievements but even if you don’t just get the WvW maps explored during dead hours and fight your way to each POI and vista you’re not even going to have a fraction of the badges you will need. So the only effective way to get badges seems to be the jumping puzzles and good luck to you unless you are on a WvW heavy server since the puzzles could be filled with people ganking the jumpers.
So that being said my suggestion would be either remove the account bound status from the tokens and allow them to be purchased from BLTC or increase the drop rate since to date I have killed 318 people in WvW and gotten around 21 tokens from kills at that figures in that some kills grant 2 tokens so the actual drop rate of 6.6% that I appear to have may be lower, now there is a margin of error with that figure and it may got up or down depending on ammount of time spent in WvW maps. The other option would be to raise the token rewards for map completion from 10 to ~100 so completion of all 4 maps as required for gift of exploration would also aid to the completion of gift or battle but not make it a handout either.
Like I said I don’t have a problem with the pre-requisites for legendaries requiring aspects from every element of the game but requiring the same ammount of this items that you do for dungeons when dungeons have set guaranteed rewards seems unintentional given that unstructured PvP may not suit every player/playstyle.
to be honest they do need to re-evaluate the process by which people forge the Legendary items, it seems a little anti-climatic that players were able to start mass producing them after the first month. The fact that there were Legendary items in the general populous so soon after launch makes me think the requirements and pre-requisites for getting the weapons were far too easily obtained. In my novice opinion one of the requirements for crafting a Legendary item should have been either age of the account or age of the character, but that’s just my $0.02.
Well as soon as I’m done with the racial alliance portion of my personal storyline I’m through with it, my character is a Centurion of the Iron Legion and fully vetted Crusader of the Vigil, I refuse to follow the braying dictations of an bafoon like that Sylvari abomination that is afflicted upon us. I am Charr, and I don’t salute salads.
