I am not the PVP god that most forums users are, but I have all the legendary items except for the backpack. I’m a WvW commander foremost, and only PvP for the achieves and gear. That said, I am now facing the end of 2016 and still need 3 more divisions to cross to get the Hymn of Glory. (I have bought ALL the other mats for it). But w/o a PvP league / guild team, I cannot get out of Ruby. I don’t mind it taking longer because I comparatively suck at PvP, but will I be shut out entirely from getting the backpack? Or will my mats be usable in the 2017 version (or just a total waste of time, and money). I usually take it on the chin well from Anet, but this kind of frustration might be the end of me and Anet. I’m hoping they’ll give options to us average players who have fought so hard this year for their gear.
Yes, that is dissappointing. Anet should have stayed consistent to keep the griefing down which is going to happen now. They trained us in episode 5 to run three events for all 3 sets of gear, and changing it after establishing that precedent is confusing and upsetting. I know you can still buy them with more badges, but for those of us who have overtime / fulltime jobs, it means we probably wont see the collection completed nor the rewards from it. It should have been one set per account from the start so at least we could have weighed the price / amount of work before gearing up as we did…
Is anyone still working on this bug? I have been without a reset since Tuesday’s patch and still can’t earn desperately needed Laurels nor can I craft any necessary ascended pieces. Nor can I finish bountiews and such. I know there are a lot of people here having this issue, so I’m curious why this hasn’t been made a priority. It would be nice if Anet could reimburse us for our lost materials (let alone time) by sending those afflicted a chest with their week’s worth of Laurels, Commendations, and Damask. But I won’t hold my breath. But since I took off work to have a long Easter weekend so I could play more and catch up to my guildies, I’ve lost out on even more, and am understandably frustrated…

Question guys: have they changed the way to craft the mystic clovers for legendaries? I’ve made dozens of attempts to get them using the recipe for (coins, globs of ectoplasm,obsidian shards, and MF crystals), and have not even gotten one batch! I hear they used to be guaranteed, but now are random. But given the expense of the mats, you would think that I’d have gotten a drop of at least one in all those attempts. Have they changed it to get clovers in other ways? Frustrated because I’m almost to my Flameseeker except for these $%#! clovers and if it’s no longer possible to get my legendary, I’d like to stop driving myself crazy about it! Thanks…
