It would be nice to get some sort of answer on this as the bug is pretty crucial. One can completely ignore the difficulties of the fight with the Mossman if you replicate this bug. Mostly since he will not attack at all and just stand still watching you beat him to death.

There is a bug with the Mossman and the condition “Stone” that makes him stop attacking.

The bug occurs when Mossman is using a melee attack or his backstab and you successfully manage to “Stone” him using “Basilisk Venom” (in my case, since I am a Thief), then he will stop attacking after the duration of “Stone” is finished.

After the duration of Stone is done he will just stand still for about 30 seconds and then proceed to walk back to the entrance of his hut, where he will stand until he is killed by the players.

I get a solid amount of loot from the missions. I do think that some waves give zero loot though, but that’s as intended, because otherwise people could just farm those locations infinitely. Basically, and this applies to ALL content in the game, anything where it says you need to kill X number of waves of things, you can assume that you’ll get loot from that. On the other hand, any mission in which enemies will just keep coming infinitely until you hold a certain area long enough or activate a certain widget, then chances are that those enemies, beyond the very first wave, at least, will not drop any loot.

Of the Infinitorium events, there are definitely a few where I would not expect enemies to drop loot.

No it isn’t intended to get no loot whatsoever after doing one event in one dungeon. DR was supposed to kick in if you do the same event over and over again, which is not possible in the Tixx dungeon.

I guess it kicked in because there are mostly only “Toy” enemies in the dungeon now, and A LOT of them spawns. So after we killed about 50 of them, they stopped giving loot.

A lot of the toys don’t really give exp and loot unless they are tied to an event though, but todays events included both Toy Soldiers, Princesses and Griffins, so there were a lot of “Toys” to fight.

After wave 4 or so against the toy soldiers I recieve no loot whatsoever, same with the toy griffins.

I just find it to be a bit too much to be honest, because we’re encountering it by playing normally…

EDIT: Still a great event though! Enjoying everything so far, and I bet I’ll enjoy the stuff that pops up in the next couple of days!

Cultist Hammer disappears in a fractal

As stated in the title, the Cultist Hammer disappears so you cannot break the chest sigil in the fractal when you fall outside of the jumping puzzle area.

I cannot remember the name of the fractal though… :\

I can’t see my 4 other teammates even though I am in the same overflow as them. They are from an NA server and I am from an EU one. Were trying to do fractals, but it won’t work.

We also get into different instances.

And what will happend with the WvW bonuses?

Nothing. Mostly because of the fact that you cannot access WvW if you are not in your home world. So the same that applies to overflow will apply to this.

There is also no overflow in WvW, so there is nothing to worry about.

Didn't get any rewards for placing 3rd/4th in an open tournament.

Just being a terminology nazi for a second here:

Camera distance and zoom are different things.

Zooming in and out means changing the FoV (same as using a zoom lens). Your position stays fixed, and you just “widen the edges” of the image.

What the Mad King instance does is increase your maximum camera distance (controlled via the mouse wheel). They probably do this so you can actually see the Mad King; if they kept the old distance you would have trouble seeing above his waist, due to the low camera angle and reduced FoV that GW2 uses. If the game had a wider FoV and a higher camera target, this wouldn’t be necessary.

A lot of people have been asking for FoV slider in the options not just for situations like this one, but also because using an optically incorrect perspective gives several people headaches and nausea. The optically correct perspective depends on how big your monitor is and how far you sit from, and since different people have different-sized monitors and sit at different distances, there is no single FoV value that will work for everyone. That’s why 99% of 3D games have a FoV slider (something GW2 currently lacks).

This FoV control (like the zoom in a camera) is separate from the camera distance control. Although a higher camera distance will show you “more stuff”, it doesn’t correct the perspective, and makes your own character very small (a wider FoV allows the camera distance to be shorter, and still show a wide scene without making your character so small).

I’m just mentioning this because a lot of people seem to use “zoom” to mean “camera distance”, and what GW2 really needs is a zoom (FoV) control (although a way to set the maximum camera distance, like WoW has, would also be nice, since it would save us the trouble of using the mouse wheel to move closer; we could just set the maximum as our preferred distance and then scroll all the way back).

Yeah, sorry, I just got all excited about it. I do know the difference though and I do see why you get a little “terminology nazi”. :P

Yep – I don’t like idea of far away character which I can’t actually see. If there’ll be an option for zooming – we’ll have to max zoom or we’ll be in great disadvantage considering to other players.

As an example: imagine that someone on DoTa2 championship zooming out so he can see all map, that’ll be cheating and you want such cheating be implanted into game.

I hope you realise that changing your resolution more or less changes the camera distance a lot, right? There exists a fog of war in that game, and it is there for a reason.

The problem with this is that Arenanet built the game around a certain camera distance, any further and in the game world we may sometimes see things we’re not supposed to (out of maps, over walls with nothing behind them, etc) and it also opens up the possibility to be exploited in WvW & sPvP with people being able to see over walls easily. Also it gives an advantage to people who choose to zoom out to such a ridiculous level forcing anyone at all serious about the game to follow suit even if they don’t want to.

Besides, they already increased distance during one of the beta events and I quite like the more personal feel of being closer in; after all, it’s an RPG, not an RTS.

I guess people may utilize this to check if the tower has any siege in it or something, but I as a MMORPG player would really like to see more of the world and less of my characters back.

It was not. I went into the new dungeon and left, and it was still like this.

It is merely a bug with the new dungeon.

I managed to zoom out this far because of something that happened during the cutscene. No idea how I triggered it, but it felt SO GOOD.

So why aren’t we able to? :\

I find this topic really, really sad. The fact that people thought that they were getting items for free is beyond me. The Black Lion Chests doesn’t guarantee you a certan item just because you can get it. It is like a lottery, not a store. It is your fault for using your money on it, not Arenanet’s.

As a player I want to play with my friends who is playing on different servers. This is something you can do in this game because of the overflow servers, so why not add a command that transfers you to one, and my friends can right click my image in the party window to join the overflow server where I am located.

The location of the Renown Heart: "Support the crafters of Soderhem" is wrong.

An invisible barrier in Snowden Drifts

As you can see in the first screenshot, I am trying to move past the crates, but because there is an invisible barrier there I cannot move past them.

So I went to the vista above it and jumped down on the other side, as you can see in the second screenshot. I try to run past the crates, but because of the invisible barrier I can’t get out. The only way to get out of here is to waypoint out. So if you lack coins, too bad. :\
