Got on right at 3 a.m. PST so thank you guys for the tip! Time to play some TC <3
Hey there,
I know this may be a contentious point, but in the end it comes down to me just wanting to play with my guild. I left the game a couple months ago due to school and had transferred to Anvil Rock (Bad Decision) to play with a friend, from Tarnished Coast. Now I’m back into the game and most my guild is moved to Tarnished Coast and I cannot play with them because I cannot get over to the server. If someone has any tips for getting into the full server it would be wonderful.
Has anyone managed to get into TC in the last week? Is there any way to get into a full server? It is disappointing cause I wanna WvW with my friends but cannot. Any suggestions or help would be really appreciated.
Regards,
Selcaro
Haha ah this match up is to funny! So me who is in AR and my guild form a group to take a henge camp bluevale. We deck this camp out and hold off henge with all our might. We just keep killing their mini zergs they bring. Then next thing we know they bring a commander with his lets see about 15-20 man zerg to stop 5 anvil rock players.. GG henge GG. Hope to kill you guys some more with just 5 of us!
Oh wow, you guys are like… so good! If only the rest of us could aspire to be as awesome as you guys. Nobody ever camps out in a camp until a zerg wipes them out! Wowee! You’ve revolutionized WvW with this. This doesn’t happen multiple times a night, no way that it happens every day multiple times! So awesome! Please make sure you post your awesome sauce tactics like this because this is to awesome not to post.
Well done!!!!! Post more of your accomplishments!!!!
Woah woah woah… U MAD BRO?
I’m with Nightwrath on this one. It was a very enjoyable fight killing off all the mini zergs and to make it even better we got to continue killing the large zerg for a long while before they finally took us down. I’m sure there will be more of this to come and cannot wait!
Without backpedaling I cannot dodge backwards. So it’s kind of important.
But aside from that using strafing as opposed to keyboard turning is a big deal.
Not to nitpick but this is a misunderstanding. I personally have never liked the double tap evade and always used my bound key to do so, “V”. If you are not pressing any directional keys and press it, it immediately will evade back. So unbinding your backpedal does not hinder this ability.
I’m just interested, not trying to troll at all here, in what situations do you feel backpedaling is necessary?
Lately I have been trying something a bit less conventional but instead of unbinding just Q and E, I have also unbound my S (Backwards) Button(s). The reasoning for this is moving backwards only hinders your character and strafing to the side + turning 90 degrees will always be faster. It takes a little getting used to but in the end I think it is a fast setup.
So as follows:
S – Move Forward
A – Strafe Left
D – Strafe Right
I have been running this setup for about 2-3 weeks now and find myself getting very used to it and I am able to engage targets a lot easier. It helps keep a mindset to always face in to the target while engaging and turning around when you actually have to get out. Then obviously I turn with right mouse button.
Only a guardian can down invaders like kitties in a blender.
