Colin said last September that one category of legendary would be released that year, hinting that it would be a backpiece.
Since that got moved up, it is reasonable to expect that the new legendary backpiece we will get will happen in the content drop in March.
Okay, that’s fair. I didn’t know that.
However, I still doubt it will purely be backpieces; I think new legendary weapons are in the mix somewhere.
Also , if there are new legendaries , i think its not going to be weapons.
Now that current legendaries have the swap-stats ability on the go and all weapons type are covered there is no point to create new ones .. So Armor and Back piece with the same swap-stats ability is logically the next step in the legendaries.
I’m almost certain it’s gonna be more weapons, and here’s why I hope I’m right: The biggest reason to get a legendary isn’t the stat-swapping ability, it’s how awesome it looks (people were getting legendaries long before stat-swapping was even a thing). And if I want a legendary pistol, I want more choices than one that looks goofy and shoots confetti.
If I recall correctly, about 2-3 months ago they said new legendaries were at the “highest risk” of not being completed by the end of the year (compared to everything else they were working on), and instead getting pushed into 2014.
Now that we’re here, they’ve announced the next few updates will be pretty much Living Story updates.
So, my very optimistic mind is hoping/thinking they will be here within the next 2 months.
But I could be wrong, of course.
Honestly, I love the concept, and when you DO manage to pull off the massive heal, it’s really fun!
However, I agree that it could use some buffs. The Automated Medical Response trait (which I think is one of the more obvious synergistic traits for this ability) should not trigger if your heal skill is not on cooldown, pure and simple. As it stands, you have to make sure you activate it before you hit 25% health to take advantage of that, and the odds of dying in 5 seconds with over 25% health are….not the best, if you’re trying to play well.
I also agree that a casting time of 1 second is too long. I think it should at LEAST be half a second, and really it would start actually working as an emergency option if the cast time was nothing.
However, I don’t think the health threshold should be raised to 5%. Part of what I like about the skill is that it negates all overkill damage.
And of course, I wouldn’t mind having the cooldown reduced, but I think it’ll become OP quick if the cooldown is reduced too far, especially if any of the above changes are implemented as well.
Personally, I’ve noticed I can AOE loot fractal chests and I THINK dungeon chests, but it doesn’t seem to work for chests like Jormag or other group events. So, I think this is why people are disagreeing.
I love the AOE loot feature and don’t see how the game would be less fun if the range were increased (since it can be a bit annoying when I outrange my loot), so I support this idea.
Oh, I see. I don’t think that’s really quite so necessary, because this surplus that I speak of comes mainly from the scrolls of knowledge themselves, which you can already transfer to your other characters.
Sure, I’d be fine with upping the price to 30 or maybe even 50. Not sure I’d wanna buy one beyond that though.
Olba, I’m not sure I understand how your suggestion is any different from mine.
I think we need a skill point sink. Currently, there’s not really any great way to convert your skill points into much money, and I think there’s a massive surplus of skill points due to all the champ farming that produces Scrolls of Knowledge.
So, I think it would be a good idea to be able to convert 15 skill points into one character level for my alts. This price is just a suggestion, of course. I’d just like a way to put these skill points to good use, and I think this would be a fun option.
Alternatively, it would be flavorful and achieve more-or-less the same goal if you could combine a fair amount of Scrolls of Knowledge to create 1 Tome of Knowledge (which increases your level by 1).
Yeah, you’re misinterpreting what that discount means.
Here’s an analogy: If apples go from being worth a dollar to being worth 50 cents each, that means the dollar has doubled in value there. It can get you 2 apples now!
Likewise, if the gem cost of a BL chest key goes from 90 gems per to 27 gems per, then the value of your gems are over TRIPLE what they were worth!
Getting more for the same amount of gems means gem prices will shoot up, and likely continue to shoot up or at least stay pretty high over this next weekend.
Unlike most guilds, Tyrian Commerce is NOT devoted to PvP/WvW/PvE. Instead, we are devoted to the ever-unending task of earning gold, however that can be done (in game)! We promote gold-making discussion very often, and eventually plan to hold monthly, weekly, and even daily lotteries! The cut from these lotteries will go towards the guild bank, for the purpose of funding gold-making ideas anyone has that a leader approves! There are many other ideas we have in mind as well.
And, if you’re devoted to another guild, don’t worry! We don’t expect you to represent ours very often, just when you feel like talking to the other guildmates about gold-making strategies and whatnot (and it’d help if you saw guild chat whenever we held lotteries).
Our guild is very recent, but we are growing rapidly. If you would like to discuss gold-making strategies and have fun playing in lotteries, please send an in-game letter to Vaic or Xelikron and ask to join!
Thanks,
- Vaic
Go to the TP.
Do a search filter for all masterwork weapons of any level.
Organize by price, most expensive at the top.
Notice that the most valuable masterwork items are levels 20 and 23 and they’re all the “Charr (weapon type) of Force.” They often sell for 2 – 5 gold (I’ve sold one myself!).
Why do people find these weapons in particular SO MUCH MORE valuable than everything else in the Masterwork category? I asked my Lion’s Arch map chat, and people suggested that maybe it was the weapon skin people were after. That can’t be the case though, because the Charr Cleaver of Force has two versions: One at level 20, one at level 23. The level 23 one sells for 2 gold, the level 20 one sells for 1 silver. And they both look identical.
One other interesting thing I’ve noted is that these items don’t have merchant prices on them; they could be sold for one copper on the TP if someone wanted.
There’s definitely something I’m missing here, and if anyone has any idea, I’d love to know.
Thanks.
