Since my very first Wintersday, the skins have always been my absolute favorite in the whole game. My Thief has all ascended gear and with the exception of staff, which is Mad King (though my Guardian and Elementalist both use the Wintersday staff), all my ascended weapon skins are the Wintersday ones, with Slingshot being, hands down, my favorite skin in the entire game.
There’s one thing I’m missing, though and have been missing for almost 3 years now, and that’s a Wintersday skin for Pistol.
I mean, look at how sad my pistol skins are. They haven’t even been transmuted yet!
I just want this one thing and I’ll be the happiest player ever. Maybe you already have it in the works, and I sure hope you do, but I’ve been waiting patiently and quietly every Wintersday for almost three years now hoping you guys will add in a Pistol skin and I’d love to have the one thing I’ve been wishing for practically since I started playing to be fulfilled next month.

The new mentor tag makes it so the mentor has a tag on the map as well as when they talk in chat they get a little “Mentor” prefix for their name. I think it’s really cool that you know the mentor is talking without having to check their name.
Could commander tags be made to have the same functionality? Perhaps their color by their name or the commander tag symbol. Especially in PvE there are times when there are multiple commanders, and it’d be useful to tell apart which commander is talking so people don’t follow the wrong orders, and you know you can’t trust everyone to join a squad.
I think it’d be neat if when people had control of siege, it would show what level their siege rank is at for whatever siege they’re on.
So, for example, right now if someone has 1 rank in the Flame Ram, then it’ll show they have the Iron Hide buff. It’s kinda neat to be able to click on Ram users to see if they have at least that upgraded. It’s not perfect, because ideally we would want someone with at least rank 3 on the ram, but it’s still nice to have.
What I’d like instead (or in addition to this, I don’t mind which) is a buff similar to how Iron Hide shows up, but instead it would say “Flame Ram I” or “Flame Ram III” or “Flame Ram V” or whatever rank they have in Flame Ram, or with any given siege. So, as another example, someone could have 4 ranks in Catapult Mastery to get them that last damage rank and it would say (when they have control of a Catapult) “Catapult Mastery IV” on their list of buffs.
I think this would be wonderful because it would help people organize siege a bit better. I like being able to click on a Flame Ram user to check if they have Iron Hide, but as I said before, even that doesn’t assure me that they have any more than 1 rank.

I’m having the exact same problem and it’s extremely annoying. Actually had a lot of players able to get back up with teammate help when they wouldn’t have been able to if it was working correctly.
About re-creating it, it just happens 100% of the time for me. It lasts about as long if not a little longer than a black powder, so 4+ seconds each time.
The amount of glory it would cost to buy enough salvage kits is just insane.
How do you figure? It costs 100 glory for a PvP salvage kit, right? Well, just playing a single game gives 125 glory, and winning the game gives an extra 100, which is essentially a free salvage kit. Now, even with essentially a free salvage kit per game, the salvage kit still has 15 charges, and you only get 6 or 7 (I forgot) equips per chest, so you only really need 1 salvage kit per 2 wins. I don’t think it’s statistically possible to not have enough glory for the salvage kits unless you’re spending it all on something else, but I always hear high ranking players complaining about the large amount of glory they have and that there’s nothing to spend it on.
I don’t think glory is the problem, if anything.
I also have the same problem. I talked the Tixx and checked the box and I couldn’t interact with it at all. I didn’t think much of it until my guild member was talking about the nifty rewards. I went back to LA to check to see if I could access the box, and I still couldn’t. Both times were in the overflow.
