IP block mail

Hi all, from when i start playing gw2, every time my router got reset, before i was able to reconnect to the game, i had to allow the new ip via mail…but now it’s almost a week that i don’t get those ip block anymore..why? i didn’t change anything on my account to disable them. i really want that ip block again, since i’ve already got 2 mail telling that 2 different chineese ip got blocked…

The solution
As most lurking this thread for a possible solution i would suggest turning off your firewall and see if it fixes anything if so and your using AVG security try this.

However i dont know how to fix this for other internet security software but am pretty sure it its the same method just a diffrent way to get there depending on your program.

  1. open AVG firewall
  2. click firewall settings
  3. a pop-up will appear and click this time sytem services in the active profile
  4. Click the Manage User System Rules
  5. click add rule
  6. another pop-up will appear and input from top to bottom
  • TCP
  • out
  • Unrestricted ports (1024-65535)
  • remote port(s) 80,6112,6600
  • All Networks (Allow for All)
  • choose a name click ok
  • the pop-up will disappear and on the previous window/ pop-up click confirm
  • Edit: dubble check if it saved the rule by repeating the process

if this dose not work try one of the other methods written in this thread.
but am pretty sure now that the majority of the problem is a security software(firewall) or a router based.

Mabey one last solution if its a firewall issue and you dont know how to do any of this,
is to use the windows firewall instead of your normal one, its as good as a firewall as any other you usually use.

ok, after putting the avg firewall off, the TP was back, but i’ve already got that firewall rule set on, since i had to do it jusst to play the game, ’cause avg firewall was even preventing the game to load

1) Close the game client
2) Delete the local.dat file located in Documents\Guild Wars 2\local.dat
3) Open the game client

This didn’t work for me =/

Someone earlier in the thread said it took 3 tries deleting the .dat file before it fixed.. not sure why…

i’ve tried it 10 times, still nothing >.<
i’ll have to wait for a fix patch i think T.T

Well all Black Lion Trading Company applications are blank for me.
People told me to restart my client but that didnt help even after I restarted my client several times.
Anyone else having this problem?

Got the same problem, any solution?

ok, i know that at the moment there are a lot of problems / bugs with the trading post, but since i’ve asked in-game on the zone chat, and all ppl there told me that at the moment the TP works, it’s just a little laggy, i don’t know if my issue it’s a server-side problem;
so…basically when i open the trading post window all i get is an ampty one…after clicking on “Trading post”, or “Sell on Trading post”, or any other option, i get nothing, the right part of the window is still empty
