Issues with the trading post: please post here [MERGED]
I’m still having issues with the trading post. Nothing seems to appear in any of the tabs(see attached screenshot).
Anyone else got this problem?

What operating system are you running? You need to be running Windows XP SP2 or above for the trading post to work, due to SSL root certs not being automatically updated in previous versions.

That gave me the clue I finally needed to fix the blank Trading Post/Gem Store.
If you are on WinXP SP3 go to Control panel/Add Remove Programs and Add/Remove Components on the left side of the screen.
Click it and scroll to near the bottom and find Update Root Certificates. If it’s unchecked..CHECK it and click Ok.
Load up the game and go to Gem Store/Trading post and wait (about 10 seconds for me). This FINALLY fixed the blank bug.
Again this is for WinXP SP3, if you have Vista or Win7 I can’t help you, but it’s something worth looking into if nothing else has worked
Can we get a response please on the disappearing items and funds from removed sales. Also some peoples concerns around the duplicate fee’s etc.

This is a slightly different problem than I’ve seen reported. Could you tell me if you’re able to send player mail currently?
I haven’t used the mail system yet, so I don’t know if this is what happens when players are offline (as the person I tried to send this to was offline), but I don’t think it sent and came up with the error message below.
EDIT: I should also mention that I have sold items on the TP before, this problem came around after the TP got put back up last night at around 12:10am GMT

Tried to sell another item just now, sold it to the highest bidder instantly, and not a single copper in the pick up tab.

For those who were experiencing problems loading the ‘sell’ tab in the Trading Post, we think we’ve fixed the problem. Please close and re-open your game client, then try going to the sell tab.
Please report back here if it doesn’t work for you.
Note: if you weren’t able access any of the tabs in the trading post, you likely still won’t be able to.

OK, so it sounds like the fix wasn’t perfect. So for those of you who are having issues loading the trading post in the last couple days, DaKwL offered a good suggestion. I’ll expand it a little bit.
Note, by following these instructions you will lose at least your graphics settings and have to set them up again:
1) Close the game client
2) Delete the local.dat file located in Documents\Guild Wars 2\local.dat
3) Open the game client
Hopefully this resolves your issue until we can apply a patch on the server. If you don’t feel comfortable doing this change, we’re still working on fixing it on our end.

-I bought Gems (Gold for Gems), my gold was spent and i didn’t receive any Gem (i bought in Wednesday).
-I can’t buy or sell any item em Trading Post, i can search, but don’t trade.

Also deleting the LOCAL.dat did not work.

EDIT: After deleting the LOCAL.dat file for 3 times it finally worked the blank TP issue, also try:

Works perfectly now, thanks for all the help.
If the UI is ‘small’, the font in the trading interface doesn’t scale properly and is nigh unreadable.
This may seem like a negligible issue, but it makes using the trading post physically straining, and going through the options menu to rescale my UI every time I wish to trade is a disproportionate effort.
I still haven’t gotten my money back on a buy offer for 2 exotic rings I cancelled at like I think Wednesday around 3-4 am EST. Then later that day after the TP was down for a lot of the day I recall seeing a twitter post saying "
The Black Lion Trading Company is back up. If you have any items or gold that you’re waiting for, they’ll be delivered later tonight. ~RB2"
Which seems to be a lie, because I seem to still be out the about 4 gold from the buy offer I cancelled.
I bought a box of dyes via the Black lion trading option, i lost the amount of gems that it costed but never received the dye . please help !
Previously placed an Buy Order for 180 tiny totems. 117 arrived to my Pick Up Tab. 63 of them never made it to my Pick-Up Tab. These have not yet shown up as “delayed items” as it was claimed they should. The “Items I am Buying” filter shows nothing. The “Items I have Bought” filter shows one 47 tiny totem transaction that never arrived to my Pick-Up Tab. As only 1 screen is shown on these transaction windows, I can’t see / verify the other individual transactions that went missing. :-(
After reading through many posts here, it might be a good idea to make the 10% back end fee for successful sales a bit more visible within the game interface. As far as I can tell, there is nothing within the trading post interface that describes this additional fee. It might cut down on bug reports related to a WAI situation if people actually were aware that the additional fee existed, and thus why there is less money in their Pick-Up Tab then the Sell Order interface says they would be receiving.
A couple days ago I purchased 800 gems with my visa debit and used them to buy a 6th character slot. When I did so, the gems disappeared but I didn’t get any mail or a 6th character slot, so I filed a ticket in game.
I haven’t been able to log in till today since I’ve been so busy but logging into the game now I still don’t have my 6th slot nor my gems back. I have 0 gems now and under “Items i’ve bought” it doesn’t even show I bought the 6th slot, but my bank account shows that I spent the money for it. Here’s to hoping this gets fixed soon!

Please consider adding index numbers for browsing pages.
Could look and work the same as for forum navigation.
It would help:
a) Buying things that are sorted alphabethically (i.e. dyes)
b) Checking on our transaction panel (if we’d buy or sell more than 10-15 items)
At the moment I’m getting disruptive behaviour when working the ‘< Prev | Next >’ links while trying to get to say, page 5 (41-50) of items.
Result: blank page, and I have to start over again on page 1

Still no luck with receiving anything from the transactions starting from over 24 hours ago and up until now, neither gold nor items…
I’m buying Copper Ore at 17 copper each (200 total | 34 Silver) and then selling them at 20 copper (200 total | 40 Silver). Which should be 6 Silver difference minus 2 Silver listing fee, for 4 silver profit. However, after I sell 200 copper ores at 20 copper each, I only make 36 Silver (For 0 net profit). Where did all the money go?
Same as above; just sold 250 Jute Scraps for 29c each (= 72.5 silver – 3.62fee = 68.88 silver net). But I only received 65.26silver.
I’ve been trading for 3hours just now, and 2hours last night and my money hasn’t moved up at all – if anything it’s gone down 1-2gold.
Then there are other times when I receive more items then I ordered (i.e. 260 instead of 250). I’m unsure if these extra items are ‘free’ or if I paid for them at the same cost as the rest of the order.
I am also suspicious of the priority system during orders. Just then there were 500 orders for Jute Scrap at 25c, I proceeded to order around 2000 at this place. While my first 250order was filled within ~2mins, I am still waiting nearly an hour later for my last few orders to be filled up; even though I should be the first priority order for that price and 80% of the time I check that order price is still the highest. It’s almost as if orders are round-robin, so once my first order of 250 is fulfilled I’m then put at the back of the que for that order price; is this intended?
In any case, this trading post has serious economic-altering issues. Profitable trading is impossible in this situation.

Currently, I can only see “what I’m buying” and “what I bought” and “what I’m selling” to a max of about ~10 items. There is no way to look past those items for the full list.
There is an issue with not being able to see if a Buy Order, or a Purchase Order, or a Sell Order has disappeared. I can’t tell if it is my perception, since some things come late, but it seems I’m missing things I’ve bought, and money from things I’ve sold.
Example. I buy herbs in stacks of 75 or 150. I ended up getting a partial order completed (only 68 or 122, or another non-round number). The rest of the Buy Order has disappeared from the page that shows me pending transactions waiting to be fulfilled. But, my money is not returned. It just vanished. So I bought at the full price for 75 or 150, but only get a lesser amount, and the future Buy Order for the difference vanishes.
I can’t be sure though. It’s hard to keep track when things come late and you can’t see what you are still ordering, because it is only showing the latest items. My uneven herb numbers could be from looting in the world, and I didn’t notice, so my memory is thrown off. But at the same time, I should be above my ordered stack in numbers then, not below.
I think a possible solution would be to let us see our transactions into the system, out of the system, and the money that has come and gone, for a long set of time. And which character we accepted the money (and/or item) to, and which character the money (and/or item) left from. This way, the player can see that everything worked as intended, and know they already looted their profit from the TP, but maybe on an alt.
Annoying sales tax. You get a listing fee but also when you sell you also get hit with 10% of the sale. My maths is rubbish so not even sure I’m making money on selling leather I purchase cheap and then sell on. I think the sales tax needs to be dropped or at least lowered to 5%. Overall you get charge 15% when selling anything. A player told me then I found it buried in GW’s wiki.
We desperately need a page tab on the My Transactions page. Because it only shows the last few items put up for sale. Yet I have over 100 Black Lion Locked boxes on sale that haven’t sold. I can’t get them back to relist until all the newer stuff sells. And due to the new stuff not selling as well, its been days since I’ve seen the boxes.

There is a 5% fee for listing. Then a 10% fee after the sale. Meaning, you need to take into account 15%.
So if you are selling at 40 silver, the list fee is 2 silver and the 10% cut of the sale is 4 silver. So it cost 6 silver overall. You would need to list higher to make a profit.
This info is on the Wiki, but IS NOT on the Trade Post. So there is no way for many to know, until they learn the hard way.
I agree with the 15% cut, because it does keep inflation in check (people trying to drive prices up need to do it in such a large amount, they risk their profit). So the market keeps a natural balance and takes money out of the economy. But, I don’t agree AT ALL that people do not know this up front. The post should tell people how much a cut is being taken, before hitting Submit.

The money should be refunded to you in the Pick Up Order tab. It means you and another person bought close together in time, and you were beat. If the money is taken, and doesn’t show up in the Pick Up Order tab, then it could be lost, but most likely is only delayed.
Hard to keep track because the system is not letting us follow along. So some might be losing money while others only thought they lost money. Then ArenaNet has more work to do because of the false reports. The UI needs to be sleeker and more informative (I’m liking it so far, but there are still too many issues).

I scanned through this thread and I don’t think anyone has written about this issue yet…
When buying quantities of a single item that are divisible by 10 (10, 20, 30, etc…), the system seems to be dropping the 0 in the quantity amount, but keeping the full amount you are being charged.
For instance, I just tried to buy 40 onions and 40 carrots. I was charged the full price for 40 of each, but I only received 4 of each.
Is there any way I can get reimbursed for this?

About half the time, especially after porting, I am unable to interact with a trading post NPC. Usually this is fixed if i relog, but sometimes I have to several times. I can communicate with all other NPCs around it
Just sold my mystic coins on the trading post and my coins disappeared and no money delivered. It doesn’t show up on my transaction log either.

When I search for items via the show filters, and choose for example weapons-daggers, it will bring up the page with daggers, but if I click on show by level or click next at the bottom of the page to fast it resets itself.
I just tried to buy some crafting mats and I haven’t received anything however all my money is gone.
I guess I’m not getting money for some transactions as well.
I put some items on TP, then played a bit, got back to TP (nothing on pickup tab), tried to sell more of them, and no option of “add to your lowest listing price” was available, like if the items got sold, even though I didn’t get any money.
It has happened with more than one item.
Also I have a feeling that something’s not right with items I’m recieving.
Are we going to get the money we lost due TP bugging out back?

Trading Post item and gold delivery was slow for part of the day today due to a network connectivity issue between data centers. Delayed gold and items are being delivered; check your “pick up” tab.

Cliff, How long am I supposed to wait? I’ve been waiting since 9/5/2012 6:00am PST for either the two stacks of 8 Bone Shards or that single stack of 16 Bone Shards in this screenshot… Can I please have some support to investigate and reimburse the money or the items?

That’s quite strange, I tried the Fix on 2 different Clients and it worked (even before the Cliff’s Fix). Maybe in some cases there is another hidden “cause” … sorry :-/
