Yea, I really don’t want to roll 4 more characters on top of the 7 I already have to complete this

which would include getting them all through this entire story (which would take a while)

Jaxom is basically right, I have farmed most of these collections and all I’m missing is leystone armor and machined weapons achievements. I understand why they do it this way, as it makes players stay in the game longer and interact with each other more, but I do think that there should be more variety and less of a grind.

First off, I want to thank Arena Net for creating this wonderful armor and I think it goes very well with the Ley Line Weapons.

I find my self a bit frustrated with the acquisition of this armor, especially the Leystone Headgear Box, Leystone Shoulder Box, Leystone Glove Box, Leystone Legging Box, and the Leystone Boot Box, as the only way to get them is through Noxious Pods (DS), Hearts and Minds Story Mission, or as a meta-event reward from the blighting towers in dragons stand(DS), which uses a RNG (Random Number Generator) which has a 10% chance to drop a random box, whereas the Noxious Pods RNG have a 5% chance to receive a random box. I have personally done both the blighting tower meta 100 times and have only gotten 2 of the above mentioned boxes, however the mouth of Mordremoth meta has a rather decent RNG of 20% drop rate of Leystone Coat Box, which I think is perfect, also the coat can be gotten from the Mouth of Mordremoth Slayer achievement. The coat box I have no problem with, and this should not change.
(I also know alts can get the armor boxes from hearts and minds and I have done this with 6 of my alts, but I’m still missing a significant amount of armor pieces)

I do however believe that the acquisition of the other 5 armor boxes should be easier.
I really don’t want to run blighting towers 1000 times to get all of the boxes.

Here are my three ways of fixing this personally troubling issue.

1. Raise the chance in the RNG for Noxious Pods/ Blighting Towers meta from 5% to 20-33%, or 10% to 20-33%

or

2. Allow the crystalline ore vendor to sell these armor boxes for the appropriate amount of crystalline ore.

or

3. Allow a vendor to trade a unneeded specific armor box, for a armor box where the user can pick which piece of armor he/she wants.

I really hope a Anet employee reads this and is able to do something to address the issue, because again I really don’t want to spend a overwhelming amount of time to get these armor pieces, as there is so much more exciting and non-grinding things to do in the game already.

apparently the wiki lied, Blighting Towers only gives the leggings box, I’ve done over 150 times now, dropped leggings 3 times and nothing else. This means only noxious pods in dragons stand drop a random piece…

Soooo, yes this is bugged( pet seed should be cultivated seed, etc….), However, I redid the LS on another character and remade the 1st backpiece and got cultivated seed, then I used the 3 items I got from the LS, the Chaos Pot, then the Leyline Dust, then the foxfire cluster, and the empty vial( from the centaur camp geode merch in dry top then go to bottom(Ground floor, not by skillpoint, by where the water hits the floor lol…) of waterfall skill point area In oasis area in dry top and press f to get it) and I got the backpiece!, then it gave me a pet seed, however I already had my pet seedling from earlier, so I then proceeded to look for the items, THEY ARE NOT FROM LIVING STORY LOL!, NOTE**s(you need to have reset(remade) the 1st backpiece for these items to be obtained, other wise they are locked)1st one is elemental essence( From Diedre Steps, Mount maelstrom** from the wave elemental, its a jumping puzzle) then the item you get tells you what you need to get, for example… 100 bloodstone dust/3 bloodstone bricks/4 exotic essense of luck/100 thick leather sections…, the next one! is from the portal of rhaand in diessa plateau, you enter the instance, go below water, go to the ice wall, break thru then go to a room, not the gate room, the only other one LOL, then theres a water spout coming out and you click it and get the item then mystic forge as with first item, theeeeen you go to the forsaken halls mini dungeon, then go to the beams in mid air (past 1st room) and you will see the light, use torch to get across jumping puzzle beams.. then use forge, then the last one is after megadestroyer dies, you get the heart of the destroyer from the orb, in the volcano. then use mystic forge, and ur done XD.

I myself waisted around 360gold doing this and am poor now so any help would be appreciated

sorry for spoilers, just tired of all the frustrated people out there not having answers…..
