Yeah, the build I posted was just a base for him to start with. A general ‘all-rounder’ tank build that touches all aspects of warrior survivability. Easy to edit and specialize to the needs of the player working with it. Healing not an issue? Drop the heals for stun breaks and controlled dmg immunity. Getting sniped by range a lot? Pop on the block trait and reflect em with you mace (since ranged doesn’t trigger the counter attack). That kinda thing. Easier to know what you’re working with when you can see all of it in one place and just edit out the things you don’t need.

Before you continue on to the build I link, keep in mind that when you are commanding in WvW, your only job is to command and stay alive doing it, let your zerg worry about dmg and buffs. Basic rule of thumb is to find the enemy commander and then slaughter them asap. So your only goal outside of commanding needs to be making it through said slaughter in one piece.

I used to be one of the T1 Commanders back on Sea of Sorrows during its reign as #1, keeping in mind that I haven’t WvWvW’d since then and that was years ago. Warrior however, I played for around 4k hours with every tanky spec immaginable. The following is about as good as it gets while keeping your GS in mind.

This is the base setup for it. Keep in mind that you will lose a block because you use a GS. Also keep in mind that this build is meant for commanding, not general pve as it has no dmg of it’s own. Its only goal is survival. Feel free to trade out one of the shouts for something else should the situation demand it. If you’re getting reliable druid regens, trade out the traits that provide the basic regen buff for something else, like blocks reflecting projectiles.

This builds focus is on reducing dmg as much as possible while stacking on as many different types of regens as possible, and warrior has access to quite a few compared to other classes. Your passive hp regen will be nothing to sneeze at when you’re at full throttle. You can face tank lupi in Arah with this build without dodging a single one of his attacks, so it can take a pounding. This build is not a god mode, I can’t die build. You can die, really fast in fact if you get focuses. The only difference is that you will have significantly more time to escape into the bulk of your zerg. So skill is a big factor.

Here is the base form of the build. Don’t die.

Edit: For sigil’s I suggest using Life (On your back bar weapon) and the one that refills endurance when you kill something (the other sigils are personal preference). 250 more healing power isn’t usually worth it, but warriors scale really well with the stat, so have your regens and shouting healing for more helps. When you’re going for survival, every little bit helps and can be the difference between death and escaping by the skin of your teeth.

Legendary Weapons in Heart of Thorns

So I was thinking, if I can change the stats of my legendary weapons for free, why can I not change its upgrades for free? Is it not quite legendary enough for that? Should only its stats be what isn’t bound by the toils of lesser weapons? At the moment, when I wanted to change from a shout build to a condition build, I have to change the upgrades on my weapon to suit the new build. This can get really expensive really fast. I think a legendary weapon should be a weapon that can be changed entirely, on the spot, free of charge, whenever you shift to a different build to compliment your team because well… it’s legendary.

That’s all I have. Thought perhaps making everything about changing the stats, sigils and infusions free for a legendary weapon would make it truly legendary. “Hey, you put all this time into making this weapon, now you will never have to pay for altering (not including transmutation) its stats and upgrades. We don’t want it being treated like lesser weapons now do we?”

Just something to consider with all the changes coming with this new expansion.

today’s patch was hoping it would of solved the problem with one of the legendarys well I was dead wrong.

Bolt has problem after/during a attack animation in which case it doubles itself inside of it or after attack swing and quick swap you’ll see it float in the air for about 3 seconds.

norn female guardian.

I’ve also seen other races have the same problem

Bolt also has an issue where when you walk/run you can see it glitching onto your feet like you’re wearing it as a ski… This is on top of the doubling up issue. Please fix these issues with Bolt. They really… and I mean really take away from one’s ability to take pride in their weapon when it’s graphics are so broken.

Look closely at your front view feet when you run. You can also see Bolt popping up down there like you’re wearing it as a ski. I have that as well as the double Bolt visual bug.

So when I walk or run I can see Bolt under my feet… It glitches in and out. Doesn’t matter if it is drawn or not, as it does this regardless. Not sure what’s causing it but I noticed it after the patch. I changed graphic settings and everything… nothing fixes it. I spent a lot of time crafting it before legendary weapons went easy mode… would prefer it not be the only weapon I have that is bugged.

My Bolt does it too. I remember it being a Graphic Setting that did it. I found it 6 months ago before I quit playing. Started up again and can’t figure out what setting I had to turn off to get rid of the glitch. So the problem isn’t the weapon itself, it’s one of the graphic settings being too high that does it.
