My overall opinion is that, in the game’s current state, pushing out new content like Lost Shores monthly is simply too ambitious.
The game was only released a couple of months ago – player housing, guesting, culling issues, and a multitude of bug problems still exist. Releasing broken new content without fixing what’s already broken in the existing content isn’t going to go anywhere.
I suggest focusing on fixing the already existing issues before pushing out content like this. Because of this, the content released has been buggy and hasn’t helped the game’s reputation at all. By fixing already broken content, you’d be able to focus fully on the new content instead of spreading yourself thin over so many issues that need to be fixed.
Again, just my opinion…wondering if anyone else feels the same.
Excellent, OP. This is exactly what I’ve been thinking, but you articulated your words better than I ever would have.
I was just wondering if anyone knew about this. I would really love to dye my sword to match my armor more, but GW2 doesn’t have this system yet.
No rush, really, but I was just curious whether or not this has been talked about yet. I miss being able to do that in GW1.
I agree completely. The amount of content is seriously bursting at the seams.
I was an active player of GW1 since the release of Nightfall, and I can say with confidence that I wasn’t initially impressed by Guild Wars 2 when it was simply in the conceptualizing stage. However, now that we have seen the release and the awesome events, I have to say that this is quite possibly the best MMO out there.
ANet, keep updating the game like this, and you’ll have a returning GW1 player loyal to GW2 for years to come!
(However, I do agree about the BLCs…nothing we can do about that, though)
