Also, those wings dissapear in Death Shroud. So they are 100% worthless.

They disappear when you /dance too.

My Dungeon Stolen/Beware

I was running p1 with my buddy on Arah for about 3 hours(we had problems with lupi) when were at the final boss we opened up the lfg. 2 people joined and kicked us out before we even knew what was happening. I was sad not so much because of the gold but because this dungeon would of been my first duo completion. Worse part was, the scumbags who did had about 13000 AP. (ET Server)

Moral of the Story: If two people join your party in a dungeon (Arah) at the same time you better kick one before they kick you.

GW2 life harder than real life =( the struggle is real!!!!

Ive never done Arah and want to try it. But partly cause I see so many of these posts, I won’t pug it. Itd be so frustrating to spend the time and get kicked later.

And there’s probably a lot more times this happens, but noone posts anything about it. Seems like there’s people that just do this sort of thing regularly. Look for Arah groups to join and steal instances to sell.

What's faster for leveling?

Do both. EotM is fast and there’s benefits like fast leveling, fast karma. But doing maps has rewards too. You’ll eventually need WPs, traits, etc. And you’ll learn how to play the character. Unless you already have another of the same class, people that insta level or just followed a train are generally terrible for awhile cause they didn’t really play while leveling. Dont be that guy in your next dungeon group.

Are we really that weak?

Do you even lift bro!?

I didn’t see any good thieves in that video

But a question is are we assuming its always bad thief vs good [insert other class]? Bad thief always losing to bad anything else isn’t good either. Just as good thief vs good anything else always winning or losing wouldn’t be balanced either.

D/P Permastealth.. beats all?

So, before I go on a QQ rant about how permastealth is OP or some other nonsense, I wanted to put the question out to the thief community to see if there are any thoughts: is permastealth counterable? I’ve been playing relatively hardcore since September, and while I can usually fight a permastealth d/p thief to a draw (or at least get away), I’ve seen the build troll entire parties (and small zergs) in WvW when used by a skilled player. It’s particularly difficult for me given I’m a condition build, since Shadow’s Embrace condi cleanse + constant stealth is ridic, but even in general is there a way to counter this short of simply running over them with a zerg’s worth of CC? Best-guess aoes aren’t really doing the trick. Do I just need to always have stealth disrupters and supply on hand? It seems odd to me I would need to carry around a siege trap to keep up with another build, but I’m kind of at my wit’s end as to what one can do when the enemy is so frequently invisible you can’t even target them.

Also realize that if he can’t kill you right away and just hides and resets, etc it really means he lost. And now you may have another new fight. If he follows you around and eventually kills you, he’s still like 1win- 3 losses, etc.

That’s how I feel as a thief. If I can’t kill someone and have to reset, I feel like I lost. Even if I stalk and gank them later or something. I still know I lost the other encounter. Any thief who doesn’t feel that way is kinda in denial IMHO.

Hi Karuna,
Thanks for the response!

I left the game for a year, and just recently came back into the game with some friends who said they wanted to start playing. One is a GW2 veteran like me too. But our other friends are really really casually leveling up, so the two of us returning with 80s are thinking that our plans for trying fractal progression with them probably isn’t going to happen. Not sure if they will even stay in the game long.

And I really really…. Did I say really?…really hate pugging cause of bad experiences when I just started way back. People expect everyone to already know everything and all the tricks, exploits, but I didn’t and am still learning now. But some people get all mean and nasty in pugs.

So I’m looking for a guild that I can play with and group with. Be patient with me as I learn the encounters I don’t know yet. I’ve pugged my way to fractal 14 now, but have to admit that I still dont know all of the encounters. I’m usually just told stand in this corner or run past this, etc.

I’ll probably talk my friend into apping too. I’d like to do all the dungeons I’ve never seen (most off them) and progress in fractals. And do it with guildies.

WvW is fine too. I played all Season 1 as a frontline warrior. I’m playing thief now. Got half ascended gear now, but am working on the rest. Future GvG sounds like fun too.

I also have a 80 warrior, guardian, mesmer, necro and ranger if theyre needed for something.

What time are most people online? And what are people typically doing (fractal, dungeon, wvw, their own thing, etc)?

I’d like an invite for the NA guild please! I’ve done some dungeons and fractals to 10 awhile back and started playing again on my thief. I kind just followed along more experienced groups before and didn’t really know what was going on but would like to learn and progress myself now.
