I made the glow on the hands a part of my RP concept and tailored my Rev’s gear and dyes to match the glows. It was actually fun.
I can see that being great if the character you’re RPing is a proficient magic user, and you can work that into your RP. I should have went with a warrior haha.
I’m not a fan of the hand glow, but I think I could live with it if I had to. The UI glow is extremely obnoxious, though. I’m just not sure why Anet would add something like that which persists even out of combat. None of the other classes do that. Not to mention, even if you’re not a RPer, don’t people care about how their characters look? You can’t even choose the color of the glow. It just glows whatever color to match your stance. Yeaaaah, I’m gunna be a big macho revenant with purple/pink smoke steaming from my hands. :/
I am…absolutely…livid. Alright, this is my first time even trying a revenant. I wasted all of my tomes, a scroll of exp, gold to gear it, and two makeover kits. Why? I wanted this to be a RP character, while maybe playing with the class itself in PvE. As a roleplayer, I can not roleplay this character when my UI is flaming colors in any stance, as well as the constant bright glow on the character’s arms. Why is there no option to toggle it on/off? Or why doesn’t it stop out of combat? It’s such a pointless and annoying effect. Even if I wasn’t a roleplayer, how is having your hotbar and character constantly glowing helpful in any way? It seems distracting, at least to me. I can’t be the only person annoyed by this.
Yeah. It’s really frustrating. I was wondering if there was a vendor somewhere, maybe…that hands you stuff back that you’ve obtained before and lost? I’m guessing not in this case. I’m annoyed…especially because I spent another 3 hours in WvW today, and it hasn’t dropped. Did I mention that I hate WvW? ;-;
Alright. Now, I’m not even a fan of WvW from the start. Maybe about two weeks ago, I was in there farming something. I don’t even remember what, but within the first twenty minutes of being in there, the Siege Commander Spoon dropped. I didn’t have the collection book open at the time, and I deleted it. Then, a few days ago I decided that I needed that spoon collection for a mastery point. “Easy mastery,” I thought. Yeah, well…the Siege Commander Spoon is the last item I need, and I spent six hours in WvW today, and it just will not drop. Six. Hours. I’m starting to wonder if it’s a bug because I got the spoon before, or what? Does anyone have any ideas?
I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but there used to be three dye options on the Whisper’s Boots on male characters. One for the straps, one for the main part of the boot, and one for the dagger on the side of the boot. The coloring option for the dagger on the boot is not there anymore, though on my female character it is still there. I noticed one day that the dagger on my boot was bright red, and I went to try to change it, and that’s when I realized the option was gone. I’ve tried everything to get rid of that bright red color. I salvaged the boots, and bought new ones. Tried sending the boots from my female character to my male character to see if the color would stick from my female character. I tried just dying the whole boot black. Removing the dye. Nothing. It wouldn’t bother me if the color was stuck black or something, but this is just sticking out like a sore thumb.
