I play a Ranger. I have F4 mapped to a mouse button to swap pets in battle. This week it just stopped working. I tried using the F4 key on the keyboard, also does not work now. I cannot even reassign the function to the F4 key, as the game simply does not recognize that F4 is being pressed.
I have also tried another keyboard, same result. However, on my laptop it works just fine. What gives?
This update seems to be pretty light on content. OK, so bosses have gotten harder. For those of us who don’t grind them all the time, this doesn’t really add anything. Sure, the LFG tool is long overdue, but that’s pretty much it.
Given that the SAB does nothing to advance any plot or story, it’s going to be a month at least between story updates. That’s kind of disappointing. I am hoping at some point they open up places on the map that we can see but cannot get to. The floating castle in Wizard’s Fife, the whole area walled off from Caledon Forest and Kessex Hills, Magus Falls, Maguuma Wastes, the area below Metrica, all of these are areas we could be exploring. And want to explore.
It’s ridiculous how many people spell ridiculous “rediculous.” It’s probably because you are saying it wrong as well. It’s ri-dik-yuh-luhs, from the root word ridicule. You don’t say Reedicule the same way you shouldn’t say reediculous.
It’s also ridiculous that people spend this much time crying in the forums about how hard it is to do these things instead of just doing them. I spent a couple of hours over 2 days getting all of the Aetherblade kills. Stop reading the forums and play the game.
I like it except for Wind Riders (who take FOREVER to kill. Seriously, the dragons die quicker.) and the Reef Drakes who just spam their knockdown and daze effects until you die.
The amount of entitlement surrounding MMOs is insane.
I can’t be bothered to read anything that is shoved in my face at various points during log-in, but I expect to be kept informed.
I can’t complete anything in a timely manner and expect it to be kept around until I get around to doing it.
I have questions but can’t spend 5 seconds on Google to find an answer.
I am busy. I run my own business, I have a small child, a wife, a dog who cannot walk enough to ever be satisfied, a cat that demands to sit on me whenever I am not in motion for more than a second, and a dozen hobbies that are all as important to me as video games. And yet, SOMEHOW, I managed to complete Flame and Frost in the allotted time. Yes, I encountered bugs. Yes, I had to actually look up on Google how to do some parts. Yes, I had to guest on other realms to find all the things I needed. I did all this in the last week, because I started when it came out and then got too busy to play for a while. Yes, I would have loved to get a mini from the dungeon, but I don’t really like running dungeons over and over, so I didn’t do it more than once. That’s on me, nobody else. Play the game or don’t, but stop acting like you deserve special consideration that others don’t get.
TLDR; Stop whining and acting entitled.
Ventilate some more.
Says the guy whining about not making it on time.

Has anybody beat Queen Bee Dog? She took my last life (I suck at jumping) and I ended up getting to a point where I couldn’t go back. Just wondering if she is worth conquering on another playthrough.
Just like the title says, I solo’ed the Rox event to defend the hatchery, and yet there was no achievement. The quests didn’t even really seem to end. We killed the last bad guy and Rox just stood there. I talked to her, she mentioned kidnappings, and told me I could leave. I left, but nothing happened.
My hope is that when they come out with an expansion, they give each class some new weapon types. Why? Because new weapons means new skills for each class! And the Guild Wars campaigns each put in new skills (as well as classes) so there is some historical precedent.
Some haunted doors – the one outside of Lion’s Arch and the one next to the Vigil Keep – spawn endless waves of Halloween goons. Some of them open, spit out a bag or monster, and vanish.
Are the endless spawn ones legit, or a bug?
Same.
The game plays fine at 38-60 FPS everywhere, but then dips down to single digits at random times for a few minutes, and then goes back up. Never had this issue before today.
Also, it’s not an environmental effects issue or anything. I was standing at the armor crafting station making things when it hit me just now. Nothing had changed except my frame rate.
