melee & support prolly guard. Yes, dedicated healers are not desired, and then dps is pretty much king in pve anyway. Second choice (or first for some) for melee & support is maybe banner warrior. Warrior is easiest to level for the most part. I think water ele is probably the most versatile healer/dps class, but only desired in certain circumstances and not really a melee class.

Guardian looks pretty cool maybe I’ll go mace/longsword guardian it looks like an AoE type of damage

Hi and welcome to the game. There is no trinity in GW2 so there are not really any full time healing or tanking roles.

That aside, while you are downloading you might find this thread on tips for new players helpful:

Thanks Trogdor! I will definitely read up!

Hello GW 2 community!

My name is Sevro and I just wanted to know as I am patching the game and reviewing over the history of this game and features that I am a bit overwhelmed. I just wanted to know how to go about beginning my journey in this game. A little about myself, for most of the part I used to play with my friends and I would become the designated healer or tank, not because they wanted me to but because I genuinely like to be the support/base of the team. So I am looking for a class that can either heal as their full time job or tank as their full time job. Also I wouldn’t mind some people accompanying me on my journey.

Let me thank you guys for replying to this post beforehand! I wish you and your female figures a great mother’s day
