Note to everyone:
Development on a product doesn’t start when you/the public is told about the product. You normally don’t know it exists until it is almost finished. Quit acting like a bunch of self-entitled whiners and be thankful that you get as much content/updates as you get. Compare this game and these devs to any others from any other MMO and you’ll realize how lucky you are that they care this much.

Gift of Mastery: complete
Mystic Clovers: complete
Icy Runestones: complete
Annnnd after only 20 or so tries with rares in the Forge, I received Spark! I was near giving up before today. Now I think I actually have a chance at completing it.
I want to see one just like Kieran Thackeray and Gwen’s wedding from GW1. IMO, that set of missions was perfect for a free small content update. It was fun and it gave more life to the characters.
Something like that was suggested in the first (iirc) CDI. I do kinda wish there was some way of polling people at the end, and not just on the forum (since that is coloured as you guys put it). Then it is kinda the own persons fault they don’t fill it out and give their feedback.
We used in-game polls during the beta events a long time ago. Not sure what it’d take to get them in the live client but it’s worth discussing internally, if only to weigh the pros and cons. I’ll talk with the other leads about it soon. No promises on the outcome, though.
Perhaps you could allow users to “opt-in” to feedback during certain events(in options maybe?). You would only get feedback from people who want to give feedback, and you would only have read through those submissions as a result. It would, hopefully, be mostly constructive and not just complaining in general. I would absolutely opt-in if I knew that I was part of a production build review group.
I would love to see another small, separate, fun and lighthearted story arc much like Kieran Thackery/Gwen wedding from GW1. Something that is started and concluded in one, maybe two, releases. Something that also isn’t just an achievement grind, and focuses on story and building characters. They could have done so much more with Evon Knashblade and Ellen Kiel, but they turned them into instance grinds instead of fun interactions with interesting NPCs.
I don’t care if it’s challenging. I don’t care if I get a cool item. I don’t even care if it gives almost no achievement points.
I want something fun and interesting, and I want to be able to replay it any time I want.
Queen Jennah and all 5 members of Destiny’s Edge are murdered, and a new Elder Dragon reveals itself while destroying Lions Arch, for good.
Or they’ll move a few boxes around somewhere to make it more annoying to run in town.
Hey guys, when GW1 came out they didn’t have that fancy pick an amazing weapon system yet. You got squat, except for the pride that comes from beating it.
But this isn’t GW1. This is supposed to an evolution, and I cannot believe players are not seriously and uniquely rewarded for finishing their story. What were all those videos and talk about story being so important, when you don’t even reward the player for all their effort and becoming a “hero”?
I have yet to beat the game, and now, I’m in no real hurry to(well less of a hurry, I still want to see what happens and like my story so far). The end reward might seem minor to a lot of people, but I’ve been playing since the beginning of GW, and to see it take a step back in rewarding their players is pretty disheartening. Why would you have retroactively inserted the system into both Prophecies and Factions if it wasn’t a great idea?
Cmon Anet. Soulbound, exotic weapon of their choice, will it really break any mechanic or balance in the game?
