From what I understand it doesn’t proc on swap sigils either.

I tested holosmith with sigils of concentration and leeching during the last stress test. Activating and deactivating Photon Forge procs leeching as it showed the leeching buff icon and concentration as it adds the 33% boon duration. Had perma quickness with it in my build.

The latest iteration of copy 3 conditions on weapon swap works. Take note of the wording “copies” instead of “transfers” thus after copying you still have those 3 condi on you.

Proof it works is that a condi trapper thieves tried to put traps on my feet, I popped resistance then weapon swapped and thief died 2 secs from his own conditions.

This was Mallyx in beta weekend 1 and 2. All Mallyx skills gave the rev conditions as well. With the elite transfering all condi you have to foes instead of just torment.

Demonic Defiance at the start of HoT had no 5 sec ICD effectively giving me 100% resistance uptime. It was in the middle of PVP Season 1 that the 5 sec ICD was added. Then after that before Season 2, the elementalist trait Diamond Skin was nerfed from immune to all condi above 90% health to is current iteration now.

I haven’t done the math yet but I’m pretty sure even with the reduced resistance per skill, removing the ICD will give revs almost near 100% resistance uptime even if you swap legends every 10 secs. With already having 70% resistance uptime with the new concentration items and the ability to give 20 stacks of torment or more, rage whispers from condi spammers have increased for me. Plus giving torment by effectively using any 6 to 0skills to proc DD will eventually turn us to a PVE/WVW shout reaper with runes of reaper, a 50 stack Torment monster instead of bleeds.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea. I’m all for no ICD with Demonic Defiance but…

TLDR: Anet doesn’t want any class to be immune to condi 100% since condi is thier new meta since Colin left.

Pulsating Pestilence doesn’t transfer conditions, it just copies 3 of the remaining conditions on you randomly to enemies closeby. So invoking would remove 1 random condition on you, then copy 3 randomly that you have left. The copied conditions can still kill you if you dont have the Mallyx Resistance.

3 people actually contacted me because of this post to express and explain their problems with the class..

People are actually that salty that they actually PMed you to stop playing your Rev?

But to counter your point, the energy system has been there since Beta and the class was abit OP at the start of HoT. Many have mastered the quirks of the class since then and every nerf, they adjusted. For me it is like the combination of old tank thieves and dagger dagger elementalist, both were my mains before. You need to manage both your energy and cd’s.

It just so happened that the recent pvp version of the rev was nerfed so hard and still is weak vs conditions that they are so salty to PM you directly to make you stop playing your rev instead of posting it here in an educated forum.

For them I’ll say, git gud boyz.

Revs was nerfed to oblivion. Also added some bugs after those nerfs that are not being addressed. That and it being a melee effective class makes it a very hard class to master.

“staves are brittle fragile canes not made for smashing heads.” – not the Dominator Staff and Lightward’s Battlestaff. Plus staff 5 used to be good and does multiple whacks if aimed properly but the damage was nerfed to oblivion.

As for tips, hmm… If you put 4 different weapon swap sigils on your weapons and you change legend then swap weapons immediately, ALL 4 sigils procs. So effectively having 4 sigils work every 10 seconds and the same time if traited right removes condi and stunbreaks and copies remaining conditions to enemies.

Also remember guys back during the original implementation of UA with 7 slashes, confusion doesnt proc 7x or else every Rev noticed the instadeath from confusion way back then. Might also procs per hit during that 1st iteration. Only when they changed it to 5 slashes that the confusion bug surfaced.

Do we have any official word about UA triggering confusion condition multiple times being intended or a bug?

I don’t see it on “known bug list” and I ’ve asked in another thread and someone replied its intended. Still, its listed here so I thought of asking here as well.

I consider it as bug cause other similiar abilities doesnt proc it multiple times. Confusion by game standard is supposed to proc only on skill activation otherwise skills like hundred blades, rapid fire would proc it multiple times as well. Thats not the case.

Confusion is a condition that deals damage each second and additional damage each time the affected target begins to activate a skill.

You do not activate UA multiple times as its not possible due to cd. You press it only once. Wiki considers it to be a bug as well

Add to the fact that the old UA that hits 7x doesn’t proc confusion 7x, the change to 5x hits in new UA skill is the culprit for the 5x confusion procs.

Back in beta i was using Resistance and Pulsating Pestilence to counter Perplexity Mesmers, corruption Necros, etc in wvw roaming making them kill themselves with thier own conditions. Then they messed up this trait and nerfed Resistance duration and ele’s Diamond Skin. Now wvw is just a Condi particularly Perplexity fest.

I’m on FA and I am quite sure that everyone wants to drop to silver league to have proper matches. So expect WvW on FA to be dead until season 2 starts.

Just cause No Trolling said he would like to go down to Silver doesn’t mean all of us wants to be in PVDoor league. My guild has lost notable players and a commander
coz of the Silver PVDooring in Season 1.

Also here is an analogy. “It’s not fun to play in the D-league if your team is an NBA team. Even if it’s the Lakers”

No dividing, you will rank up all your characters at once.
The rank where you start after this change will be implemented = all your world experience total.

No question with the ranks, like the unified fractal level all characters will have the same unified WvW Rank. But unlike fractal levels, each WvW rank have 1 resource in the form of World Ability Points. As the wording in the announcement is not that clear, my question is will your total WAP be shared/divided among your characters or will each of your characters, new or old, have the same total WAP available.

-All earned World XP on an account will be put into a single pool.
-The sum of those points will determine the world rank and World Ability Points available to each character on the account.
-World Ability Points can be allocated differently on each character; you are not creating a single, account-based, version of your characters.

So let’s say have I have 3 characters with 100, 150 and 100 World Ability Points respectively for a total of 350 points available when this goes live, will the 350 points be account bound and you choose how you DIVIDE them per character or will EACH character have 350 points?

And lets say I level up my Main with 5 ranks and used it there, will my Alts still have 5 ranks to allocate?

I just noticed today that my Superior Sigil of Strength is not giving might at all unless I equip both of my main and off-hand weapons with the same sigil. I have a crit chance of 70% with food buffs and even with fury it still wont give me might if attached to a single weapon only. I tested it on a pistol with a Superior Sigil of Bloodlust either on my main or off-hand and with pistol, dagger, sword and even shortbow with this sigil it wont process the might. I used 5 unloads and not a single might stack unless I used the same sigil on both the weapons.

Anyone having the same problem as well?

Why do commanders ask us to… All the time? Doesn’t it make us more susceptible to AOE attacks? :/

Can someone explain to me why people think it’s still gonna be the same (balling up tightly) even if the aoe cap is raised?

Best example of the answer is at 1:47
