Best April Fools prank yet! Bravo ANet!
Hurrah! Hurrah!
And once more…. HURRAH!
My character select music is the same as it’s always been. Are you guys in the beta, maybe, and that’s why it’s different?
Nope, no beta for me.
I have to agree. I don’t like the new levelling system.
I only recently tried it out, and suffice to say, it’s quite disappointing. Rangers cant’ even name their pet from the off, or control them. Weapons skills are unlocked too slowly, rather than the old way of by using the weapons. It actually made trying a new weapon more fun.
I also miss the Dredge heart quest in the early Wayfarer Foothills. I see no reason why it was removed.
I could go on but I’d just be reiterating what everyone else has already said.
So yes, I’d rather a return to the old system. It played better.
Oh, and bring back Town Clothes & make outfits multiple pieces again!
(No, not those horrid tonics that only last 15 minutes.)
I notice, or at least from my perspective, that the shiverpeak music has been removed from the main menu & character creation. I’m not sure of it’s actual title I’m afraid.
If it has been removed could we have it back? Listening to that when creating a new character, or just fiddling with it, is very enjoyable.
If it hasn’t been removed, any idea as to why I’m no longer getting it?
I’m still protesting these changes to the Town Clothes. It’s unnecessary and pointless.
It may not be theft in any sense of the word but it is unfair to us, your customers.
Please talk with us, not just give some official statement.
EDIT: I’m really hoping this is just an April’s fool’s joke…

Hear hear to that last post!
C’mon ANet. If you care like it is said you do, don’t go through with this change. The rest of the update is good. Just not this bit. Even if you can’t change it in just a few weeks, we can wait until you can.
I do not want an outfit I can’t dye or mix with other pieces of civvie dress.
I do not want a tonic that takes up valuable bag space.
I don’t care about outfits or town clothes being used in combat.
I’ll add my tuppence worth, for all the good it may do.
I’ll agree that on the whole the patch is looking grand. The wardrobe, dye system it’s all looking good.
But, this town clothes being made into sets, tonics and un-dyeable. Sorry, I just can’t agree with that.
I like many other role-players have spent time and money, real-life money, on getting our looks just right.
And not just individual looks. I’ve a Whispers Lightbringer character that I use mixed up town clothing as disguises. Granted, she may not be as affected, but my others will.
Please ANet, reconsider this. I’ve supported many changes in the past, even those to my beloved Thief, but this one I just cannot.
Tenstrikes bugs too. It lets you go through Trahearne but the other characters dissappear.
I tried Benn’s route on an alt, but I got through without hiccups. Something worth looking into at any rate.

Any ETA yet on a possible fix? My RP project is being delayed because of it.
I don’t mind the waiting so much, but I’m thinking more the others in the group.
ANet are working on it Holy. Have patience.
I’m stuck too. It’s blocking an RP project but I can wait until it’s done.
Same here. I also chose the weapon from Gorr. Next objective is to talk to Trahearne.
Everyone disappears as usual, but it won’t go from there.
I’ll be available to help go through the instance motions if it helps get it fixed.
Edit: I’m on Piken Square server.
You’ve my account name, but you can also try Kedla Wolfspirit.

How’s it it immersion breaking for a role player? It’s a huge marionette that is suppose to kill everything the area of the map. You were in the map and died. Just because you role played to ignore it doesn’t mean it role plays to ignore you
For your average RPer, perhaps so. But that character is part of a closed group in which the LS isn’t happening.
Saying that, I do see your point and it’s a good one.
I’ll say my piece here.
The events themselves I’m not doing. I’m not against them or the LS. Such large scale things are not for me, but that’s not the issue.
My gripe is the zone-wide death upon failure, and the subsequent armour damage.
To me, that seems a little unfair.
Example: I was further north doing a dynamic event against grawl. I was doing well as I know this one. Suddenly the big LS one fails, a green beam shoots from the sky and kills me. Why?
I was not in the immediate area and was not participating. To me it seems unfair to be punished for something I had no involvement in.
I hope ANet changes that. As a roleplayer who was doing that grawl event in-character, it was fairly immersion breaking.
Gold used to be per character. I’m pretty sure that can be reimplemented somehow.
Yes it’s going to be a pain since all alts’ money is going to be lumped together, but nothing a little work on our part can’t fix.
I’ve already made a post on this subject and I highly approve of the account wallet.
But when it comes to gold, I think the old system works better.
Heck, I would welcome, nay encourage the ability to store gold in the wallet, with the option to add/subtract at will.
To a lesser extent, I would suggest this for Karma as well.
Overall, the ability to add/subtract from the wallet at will (as in, not having to spend the tokens or whatever) would be the best solution.
As for roleplay, well I always deal in IC cash anyway so no problem there. Except at our two-weekly auction where real gold is used, since the goods are real game items.
(Note: It is not gambling we’re doing. It is an RP version of the BLTP).
I would suggest scrapping the money (gold, silver, copper) going into the wallet.
I prefer to keep each of my characters’ monies separate, but now they’re all going to be mixed up.
I probably won’t log into an alt for this one reason. I like each character to make their own cash. I’ve never used the bank to transfer funds unless there are TP profits which belong to another character.
Maybe the ability to take money from the wallet and keep it in a soulbound wallet.
This can also apply to Karma.
Other than that, I really like the wallet idea, just not for money.

Yes, usable furniture, a dream of all RPers for most games.
Personally I’d like more town clothes, like proper trousers! (English here, not american)
My character’s story is that she’s an orphan from the streets, yet she wears something only a noble could afford…
My tu’pence worth.
