Yep. I’ve gotten 6 password reset emails. After seeing them, I went and changed my GW2 password, partly for security purposes but also out of curiosity over whether or not the emails were legit Anet pw reset emails. Sure enough, they were because they were identical to the one I just generated myself. I haven’t played the game in months, so something’s going on judging by the amount of people I’m seeing are reporting this same thing.

Aether Armor - you need 1 piece only? *laugh*

I have to admit that I’d prefer several armor sets to be sold piece-by-piece. Even if it’s a bit more expensive overall compared to buying the full set.

I bought two sets of the medium Krytan, and now have a bunch of pieces I don’t want to throw out — hey, I paid real money for those — but they’re also cluttering up the bank. I wish I could have just bought the pieces I wanted rather than the full set.

Yeah, I’m really not sure why people are so opposed to them offering the sets piece-by-piece. I’d have purchased several pieces of all the current armor sets in the gem store if they offered them separately simply because I don’t like every piece. What’s wrong with that? I want to spend money. Seriously, what reason is there to complain that people are asking for that? Seems like it’s a net benefit to everyone to allow more freedom in what can be purchased on the gem store. That includes the devs and us players. I just don’t get why every time someone asks for something they get dogpiled on for no reason for “whining”.

See, but this is what’s weird. There were 5 veterans for me, which meant tons and tons of minions who would just swarm me no matter what I did. After about an hour and a half, I was able to revive enough NPCs to peel the minions away from the Vets so I could take them down without being swarmed. I appreciate difficult missions, but this was a bit much. It probably wouldn’t be nearly as bad if the mobs were matched to your level instead of all being +2.

Well I completed the mission yesterday (around 10:30 PM). I passed the quest with the same level (59 warrior), same weapons, skills and armor. So looks like it’s fixed. I didn’t find it much harder than any other previous mission.

Thanks to the developers and/or the person or group who have fixed this bug.

I don’t see what’s fixed about it unless it was broken again after you posted this. Still spawning level 61s while you’re stuck at 59. No amount of careful pulling will allow me to complete this with my elementalist as I go down with only one hit from one of the Veterans. All the NPCs in the yard are dead the entire time and the Vets keep spawning minions.

Even cheap tactics like running away regenerating didn’t quite work as it takes so awefully long I always make a slight mistake then die.

This is a mayor issue in my oppinion as no one should have to resort to exploits(leaving the area to reset the fight) but at the moment it seems to be the only viable option.

Cheap, exploits!? From when pulling mobs in more manageable chunks aside was called that? Or you just want to go in guns blazing and no-one should touch you?

When pull goes bad one can run away (“resetting”) or just die (thus same effect) as spawn is 5s running from gate…

Granted it was hard, required some thinking, but in last few days I did it on my ranger (and she had items on her that where way lower than hers actual level) and guardian without too much trouble, and guess what … it was fun fighting hard content which required some thinking and planning, not just zerging around. All I can say is … give us more content like that — hard mode content with mobs few (~5) levels above us and better/smarter AI’s will be nice to have.

Also timing NPC resurrections when mobs are distant enough will help to distract enough of them to pull one chunk away, just concentrate on vets spawning adds first.

First of all, I have no doubt it’s doable with a Guardian or Ranger, two of the most powerful solo professions. Second, there’s no pull strategy that can overcome the fact that you often get a dozen +2 mobs on you at once even if you pull carefully. These Risen run faster than you by a lot and once they catch up, there’s no getting away for every profession. Third, “resetting” does pretty much nothing. When you die and respawn, the courtyard gets even more full of undead as the Veterans continue spawning more mobs even if you’re not there. The quest is broken and a dev even said so. I’m all for difficult quests and I’m glad you had so much fun with it, but this is not the correct kind of difficulty.

Seems pretty much the same as it’s always been to me, which is to say it’s iffy on uneven surfaces just like every other similar ability. My warrior’s Savage Leap is equally unpredictable.

Long term effects of the GS nerf.

1. Made a viable weapon harder, if not impossible to use effectively. Incidentally, this did not even fix the problem ANET was trying to solve in the first place.

Um, “impossible”? Surely you understand how ridiculous that sounds.

2. Flooded the Guardian forum with complaint posts. This not only has damaged the constructive conversation about Guardians, but also created more work for the Mods.

Perhaps you haven’t read any of the other profession forums, but they’re all “flooded” with complaints. This is the same as pretty much every forum for an MMO. Changes happen and there’s a good chance that someone will complain about them, regardless of how good or bad they are. If you don’t like a change, you should absolutely voice your concern about it, but that involves actually giving feedback instead of simply complaining about the fact that the change was made.

This seems to be a fairly recent problem, too, as I don’t remember those sounds repeating so much before. It’s definitely annoying.
