Desolation server was the host of last night’s Quaggan’s Protest in Lion’s Arch!
The Quaggan discrimination needs to stop!
Quaggans are demanding their rights!
They want their own emotes and be able to dance!
They want their freedom and they want to be respected amongst the cutest creatures but also dangerous species alive
The following video is a tribute to every quaggan in Tyria crying to be heard!
The video is just a glimpse recorded by another player and it shows only the last part of the event in which a quaggan will die every minute if ArenaNet will not listen to our demands and give us emotes and dance.
We have also recorded our full length video (around 2 hours) in which [UNIT] quaggans are terrorizing LA, spinnning in circles, scattering throughout the city, stalking players and creating war formations and line-ups with their quaggan commander.
But for now, until the full video is ready and edited we are going to present you the last bits of our RP event which ended in a tragedy and a sad day for all the quaggans involved.
The event was provided by [UNIT] Guild on Desolation server.

Bastion mate do not fall to this guy. Look at his posting history. All his posts are the same. I hate grinders/farmers/exploiters/addicts etc.

It’s clearly that this guy has some serious issues in regards to the ones that have much more time to spend in the game, and he doesn’t.

It’s clearly that he probably wants to get a legendary but he can’t because he is the typical casual gamer that blames everything on those who have more time to play.

He is also putting farmers and ’’addicts’’ on the same level with exploiters. I don’t know why a farmer is an exploiter. These are 2 completely different types.

If someone could exploit then they would make use of that instead of staying and farm for hours.

But again, ignore him and lets keep this thread on the right track.

I absolutely love this game and ArenaNet has done a fantastic job with it in many aspects. However, where there is time spent I expect a form of reward also.

So the only issue and game breaking aspect for me now is how to reset the DR I have, it seems, on all my characters.

Grinders are happy with the current Legendary requirements since most of them are very easy. Grinders don’t want requirements that require skill – no, all they want is something that requires time spent, even if it is time spent doing something so mindless that a bot can do it better than a human being.

The requirements need to be changed so they do not require grind. This would mostly have the positive effect of rubbing on the face of grinders how they do not deserve any kind of reward for face-rolling through the game 10 hours per day during four months. If the requirements were changed to actually demand skill, not just time spent, Legendaries would be more satisfying to get and as uncommon as they are today.

Are you serious? And why then Legendaries are buy-able now from TP directly? You know you can just flush your wallet and get a legendary in like 10 seconds? Where is the skill involved in that? Right.

I actually smell a huge jealosy here from your part. The Jealousy that you can’t get the legendary item and other players can because : they have more time to spend in the game, they enjoy farming etc.

What do you have against grinders? Did some grinder murder your pride long time ago and now you need to take vengeance on them?

As I said. You are new to MMOs or probably this is your 1st one.

Please understand that MMOs by definition are a grind.

If you don’t want grinding go play a shooter or a play station adventure title.

On topic: I dont think it’s actually a bad luck strike. Because I see the loot is now the same in dungeons also. And it seems like the drops are similar and no variety to the loot table is added like it used to be 2 days ago.

So if DR is timed then this is a really big dissapointment. I mean If i knew I can get rid of it by doing other things like dungeons, exploration, crafting, meta events, zone switching etc. I will gladly do them. And I did.

I really enjoy this game and I have a guild to run.

But what am I supposed to do in this case if DR is timed? Go do stuff and getting nothing in return as in regards to loot? I don’t mind getting loot. But this is not how I expected things to be.

So if ‘’taking a break’’ from the game is the only option to clear my DR then this is not good. Not good at all.

Rand mate, I dont think it will work since I went to frostgorge sound and tried to farm some elementals for the corrupted lodestones. And nothing. The loot was horrible.

Also, see what I wrote earlier that I get this in dungeons as well. So it seems DR is following me wherever I go.

I don’t think that stands since I didn’t sell that much. I usually keep the loot I get and wait to see how the market prices change.

So my theory is that DR scales to a point where you get little to no loot at all.

I don’t mind this system really. It clearly is implemented for anti-botting and ArenaNet is doing a grea job in regards to it.

I just want to know how to I get rid of it, that’s all.

Because at this point, I am in a dead circle. I cannot continue my hunt for my legendary since my income is now reduced drastically and as I’ve said: doing dungeons, moving zones, doing different meta events also doesn’t help.

So maybe an Arena Net employee could help us with a reply in regards to this issue.

But how you will know that DR is gone if not farming again? Because going to dungeons and waiting for a rare to see if the DR is gone may be not relevant if you are on a bad luck strike.

In the last week I have been farming the sparks @ Malchor’s Leap in order to get enough lodestones for my legendary.

It’s a tedious process and maybe boring for some but I usually enjoy grinding. It relaxes me, especially that I am doing it with my guild and we are on TS3 all the time , chatting about w/e.

I can say that I have been farming in that spot for days and a lot of hours, however I did change zones for different meta events (dragons) but then came back to the same spot, killing the same mobs all over.

Everything was ok in regards to drops until yesterday afternoon when BOOM. Something happened.

I am running on almost 190 % magic find (including guild banner, guild boost etc.)

The drops were ok, stones were dropping (sometimes quick, other times rarer). Was also getting decent number of rares, even exotics.

However, since yesterday afternoon everything changed. I saw that I wasn’t getting any rares at all. No stones at all. Only T6 mats, tophies and loads of trash and blue items.
The green items were also rare.

I am 100 % positive I am under a permanent DR at this point.

I tried to do a few dungeons (like fractals, cof, ac), I changed zones again but its the same thing. The mobs from dungeons drop the same loot and it feels like this DR is haunting me forever now.

I just need someone who can help me with this and tell me how to get rid (reset) this DR?

Not playing is not an option since I am the guild leader of one of the most active guilds on our server. But also staying in one spot or completely changing zones isn’t working for me. I would do it if i knew it would work. But i see the DR is still here.

So how do I get rid of it?

Guys, news from the front.

Nothing changed.

So the patch didn’t actually address this issue.

So it remains only that either I was on a lucky strike , either the theory the guys mentioned above with server restart.

p.s. Grinded again for 2 hours and got nothing of interest.

And what makes you think that changing the way of getting commander’s book by spending badges makes the commander a good player?

You can farm the Jumping Puzzles in WvW every week. Get your badges. Buy the commander’s book. Yay! Another commander.

The commander’s book is ok as it is now!

Players will be able to differentiate a bad commander from a good one pretty quick, don’t worry!

p.s. As in regards to the other players which are mocking commander icon players, it’s mostly a matter of jealousy. They can’t buy the commander’s book because they cant afford to spend 100 g or they simply don’t have that 100 g.

I attempted this after I downloaded the patch. Patch downloaded, logged in the game, ported to Malchor’s and start the grind.

That exotic came from a veteran, the same veteran I was killing continously for hours and didnt see anything from him. Today he dropped 1 exotic and 1 rare.

This is coming from someone who never saw an exotic drop after 15th november patch.

Today we had a patch, right?

Ok.

Malchor’s Leap. Aprroximately 2 hours of grinding without any breaks , but only changing waypoints.

1 exotic, 3 rares, 2 charged lodestones, 2 onyx lodestones and loads of greens. White trash also and blues, as usual.

I don’t know what happened but there are 3 possibilites:

1. Either Magic find was fixed. I am running at ~ 170 % magic find atm.

2. Either the loot table was adjusted with this patch.

3. Either I am a lucky kitten and this was just a strike in my usual grinding.

I will grind for another 2-3 hours and keep you posted.

Meanwhile, I would like the rest to come here and confirm if something has changed in their grind patterns / loot tables.

But seriously now. Arenanet. Don’t you think that you really owe us an explanation in regards to what is happening? Don’t we at least deserve that? Afterall, we are the ones who bought your game. As a 2nd class developer that refuses to speak-up, to man it up.

Just to add to something that’s already kittened up. The patch didn’t change anything. The drop rate is still crap.

On top of that, Anet has Nerfed the sparks farming in Malchor’s Leap. Whenever you kill a spark now it will become immune , go towards the generator and blow up, filling the bar up, thus finishing the event.

So yea. Good bye charged lodestone farming.

I have to say that Anet did an awesome job with this jumping puzzle. It’s simply amazing. The difficulty is also tuned so that it’s something between CT and the Lost Shores ones.

I simply LOVE IT!

The problem is that I am actually addicted to this puzzle.

I think I’ve done it dozens of times (not to mention I finished my monthly box wrapping only from this JP).

I actually love the fact that I’ve managed to stick with my guardian until now. There were a lot of moments when I wanted to switch to a warrior.

Guardian may be easier to play than a warrior but who cares? Really. I play what I like. And to be honest, I find myself unkillable in most situations with my guardian. Dont know if I can say the same about warriors.

If by dedication you mean buying gold from 3rd party sites then yey! No normal person would be able to get 2 legendary weapons in this short amount of time unless they got huge help from within the guild/other players/buying gems from Anet and converting them to gold or buying gold from gold sellers.

So I think Arena Net should think about this decision and actually implement it for their future expansion.
I would prefer paying for a subcription based game and not having to worry about ninja drop rates nerfs.

Add a subcription to the game, restore the drops to their original state, remove the cash shop and it will be great.

At least we will get rid of the fanboi kids that are flooding our world at the very moment.

Right now I have a sub for WOW, Tera and I would really love a sub added to GW2 also.

So, when do we get that scavanger hunt for precursors?

I am sick and tired of seeing 1 thousand gold buyers roaming LA with their shiny legendaries whilst others are farming 100 gold in 1 month.

I am playing this game almost since the start. I am most o’ the times online, either grinding 4 my precursor, either taking care o’ my guild, since i am leading one and, to be honest, there is a lot o’ work to do at all times.

So let’s get back to grinding.

Yes, I am grinding literally 4 over 1,5 months now to get my precursor and I am still away. Probably it will take me 2-3 more weeks due to my RL problems that occured in lately.

Last night, I started the 3rd event right at the beginning o’ it. Been there, died like 1 billion times due to lag, bad game design, etc.

But this doesn’t matter. It’s ok. Dying is normal in a game.

So, i played almost 3 hours. We downed the Ancient Karka. I got to the chest. 1 exotic. In rest crap.

A buddy o’ mine logged just 2 mins b4 the end, he engaged the Ancient Karka and got to the chest.

He looted: 1 x DUSK ~ 300 gold on AH. 2 x lvl 80 exotic items ~ 40 gold on AH 2 x Rare lvl 80 items.

And I also remember he said (when the event ended). ‘’Did I miss something else?’’

Thank you Arena Net 4 this game. It was great whilst it lasted but no more.

This is how you are rewarding players in GW2, then I don’t know what else is to be said.

To be honest, I think what Blizzard managed to do with WOW is something that no other company will ever manage to create in a long time rom now on.

Swtor with no duels? what game did you play?

It’s actually really clear and simple why Anet hasn’t yet implemented duels in this game.

Because o’ the carebears. Imagine how many whiners and moaners will roam this site asking 4 nerfs & and what not in regards to class ballance and so on …

This is the MAIN reason Anet didnt put duels in this game.

However, it’s WRONG! Because its absolutely wrong. Duels should be in any combat-orientated MMO so I really hope that day will come soon 4 GW2 also.

So, I’ve reached a personal story quest (which was absolutely great , by the way).

It was the one in which you had to kill the Mouth o’ Zhaitan.

But just at the start o’ the mission there were 2 chars babbling about.

I think this is the best and funny line I’ve came up on , in the game:

Charr1: ‘’10 gold I can take that chicken in 1 shot’‘.
Charr:2: ’’10 gold says you can’t’’.
[Charr 1 shoots the risen chicken – risen chicken not dead]
Charr1: ‘’That has got to be the most resilient chicken I’ve seen’’ – Lmao! Good job Anet ! That really added some spice to the action.
