Don’t worry. You only need your serial code one time, to register your GW2 account, and if you currently play the game, you’ve already done that. A serial code is not needed to install the game.
DrOstler is right. Can be reliably reproduced by going completely through the additional details, then clicking play. Doesn’t matter if overflow or not.
