Can you give us an option to not see those overly red items once I want to salvage something. After 2 years of GW2 I think I know what to salvage and what not, without being confused by disturbing red flashlights all over my inventory. =(
Give an option to turn it off, please!

OK I seriously don't buy this

Also, Asura gates are not that easy or quick to set up.

They set them up pretty quick and easy already, if you take a look at virgil keep.
It was like “Oh, we already know we will be attacked by Scarlet? So let’s move our important Gates somewhere else. What? Citizens are still inside LA and being attacked? Who care’s. Adventurers can go rescue them or something. Most of us are safe already standing at Virgil Keep. We moved even the whole mystic forge over and our Asura Gates are working fine.”

Would be new to me, cause the timeline shows LS actually happened two years after PS. So the pact is already out there existing, even if someone hasn’t finished his/her PS so far. :/

1325 AE Formation of the Pact, defeat of Zhaitan.
1327 AE The energy probes find an intersection of magical ley lines beneath Lion’s Arch. The forces of Scarlet Briar converge on the city, and Lion’s Arch is destroyed. Mordremoth, the Elder Jungle Dragon, awakens.

I meantioned the lack of pact presence in that living world story before.

Everyone who actually worked their way through the personal story – and that should be most of the players – know this ->
“The Pact was founded by the Firstborn sylvari Trahearne, who carries the rank of Marshal, with the player character serving as his second-in-command with the rank of commander. "

So, my character is the second-in-command of a pact and has no option to ask them for help?!
Laranthir mentiones Trahearne is only interested in dragons and not in rescuing a city. Ok, fine. He doesn’t want to help.
But why didn’t “I” the “second-in-command” of the pact got the slitest chance to use the powers such a rank should give me to obtain some troups, around three airships and fight against the Breachmaker before it even made it’s way to Lions Arch? There are thousands of airships over the skyes of Orr fighting thousands of dragons, never stoping even after one killed the Zhaitan… and yet there is no possibility to lend some of those troups to help a city in need? Really?
There isn’t even the option to go and confront him with his actions and actually given the option to punch him for being so ignorant.

It’s like those personal story was a whole big lie, cause nothing of those things my character achieved is helpful when something really bad is happening in Tyria. Why am I an “important” member of an order and even second-in-command of that pact if I actually have no command about anything? Not even a chance to talk to that troups and ask them for help directly…

That just ruined it for me and made that whole personal story part about the pact implausible.

Hopefully we get to know something about Malycks tree and are able to visit Magus Falls/the Falls or Bloodstone Fen if it still exists somewhere out there in that jungle… to make up for that awful stupid result of this living world arc.

- Edit:
To all of you guys who think that the pact has only formed to attack dragons. Why do they fight against Flame Legion Charr in Citadel of Flame? No common sence should’ve kept them from fighting against Scarlet if they could fight the Flame Legion.

Absolutly love how the male characters are allowed to show some skin too.
Well, the shoes are horrible, but the Chest and Leggins Pieces are awesome!
But then I saw that blue latex covering, which keeps me from seeing the character I created to well… see him.
So no Zodiac Armor for me, even if I would’ve liked them otherwise.
And well… Asura. Why can’t they show blue latex covered ears, while wearing those helmets?
It’s sad how they have to wrap their ears around their heads to fit into so many headpieces.
Can we have some revealing clothes for male characters, too? Without blue latex stuff?
Especially the leather ones doesn’t have much clothes, that shows even a little bit of skin.

Would love some shoes for Asura which cover all of their three toes (which is extremly cool featured on that heavy aetherblade skin!) and not only the middle one. Most of their Black Lion Trading Co Clothes feature that, and fingerless gloves for Asura. There could be some different designs.
Same thing with the horns and ears on a Charr. How can they just disappear after a Charr puts his/her helmet on? Are those that smooth, that a Charr can just bend them away?

It’ll never feel like a real world, if they don’t intend to use the stuff the npcs already created. The pact has a whole bunch of war equipment. Airships, helicopters, tanks, megalasers and what not. And no one really intend to use or modify those to fight Scarlet/ her ufo thing?
The npcs don’t even seem to notice or care about whats happening. Even if they stand next to those new enemys and dangers. Expect Ellen Kiel and Evon Gnashblade. But even those don’t try to get help from all the other cities, orders or the pact in general.
Personal storyline told us, that the npcs just learned how to work together to kill an elder dragon, but all of the npcs just forget about that, when it comes to Scarlet.
It’s like “Hey, we didn’t even notice that she build an Energy Probe right in Lions Arch.” Quaggan that live there and swim in those waters all day long wouldn’t have noticed or talked about it, so someone else could’ve noticed it. Really?
Same thing with the Tower of Nightmares. Mesmer magic can really affect the world, so that no one that went swimming in that lake, would bump against an invisible wall? Or did they hire a bunch of mesmers to create portals whenever someone wanted to swim through and shouldn’t notice that there was a very big tower in their way?

Yeah, it’s nice to have a living story and some action, but if this affects the whole world of Tyria, it should be more well-conceived than it is now.

Personally I tend to call it Lag Town, but that’s not that important.
About the Living World…
Most useless plot part so far.
Just to have drama and a more or less fitting excuse to get rid of one of the new characters they’ll destroy Lions Arch. It’s like “Oh, we have formed this pact, that was able to kill an ancient dragon named Zhaitan with their airships, tanks, helicopters and what not, the player is even called their commander, and we have those Megalasers that helped us to kill Tequatl (till it respawns), and the old big Karka thing. Could we use it against that big Scarlet Ufo? Or build something better than those, using existing technologies, or stolen Scarlet technologies? Priory could have some great magic, too. Nah, never! A little bit of player infantry, around five to ten npcs, that should do… to help Scarlet destroying Lions Arch.”
The players struggle against those marionette is completly useless, if no one can get rid of the ufo itself. But we are not allowed to do so, nor does the npcs really want it. It can’t be that for example Evon Gnashblade hasn’t enough money to buy some pact airships (they have tons of them, if one considers how many of those are fighting dragons at orrs sky…), if he’s really that worried about the defense of Lions Arch. But hey, people in need will give their last clothes for food and shelter.

I hope they just rebuild Lions Arch, and let those ancient Lions Arch parts underwater untouched, cause every new Guild Wars 2 player that played Guild Wars would never have the chance to feel nostalgic when seeing it. The whole personal storyline would need a makeover, if they completly get rid of Lions Arch. That whole “Go to Lions Arch, meet your order, go to Claw Island and defend it to secure Lions Arch”-part would become useless. New players wouldn’t be able to finish their personal storys for a couple of weeks, and that couldn’t be that helpful or wanted either.

New places to discover would be far more great than to destroy and recreate something already existing. The worldmap of Tyria shows so many great places, no one has ever seen yet. Even if we add the known Tyria, Cantha, Elona and the places from Eye of the North together, it’s nothing compared to the sheer size of whole Tyria!
Some nice underwater levels would be cool to. Unending ocean is a place, which would be great to discover, too.
I’m still waiting to see Guild Halls (even if a small guild will probably never be able to pay for one even if hell freezes or the fog of the mists lifted…) , or player houses. The home instance is nice as it is, but it isn’t really a place I would want to live, if I had the choice.
