Hien Takagi 80 Warrior – Mai Takagi 80 Mesmer
Yak’s Bend :: The Goober Confederacy [GOOB] Guild Leader
Hello!
From looking at your post The Goober Confederacy [GOOB] may be a good fit for you. We are a Yak’s Bend guild formed from the dregs of other guilds. Upset with the quality and dedication of guild members, and dismayed with the lack of leadership and willingness to help from guild leaders and officers, we have formed a guild in the hopes of bringing players together to learn new things and skills in the game we all love (and love to complain about.)
Our focus is dungeon runs (We do nightly FotM, 20’s and/or 30’s, as well as CoF farming and other dungeon runs) and fun times. We find running dungeons as a catalyst for the fun times. To encourage group participation and to strengthen the group bond we do require TS to be used for guild runs and also just welcome guildies to hang out in TS when not doing group activities. We even have some members who log into TS to chat while doing household chores or playing other games.
At this time we do not do WvWvW or do guild organized PvP. We also are not set up to do guild missions at this time. Eventually we would like to have a presence in WvWvW and PvP as well as have weekly guild missions but for the time being we recommend to our guild members that they join another guild as well for those activities. This is one of the main reasons we ask for a 95% rep and not 100%.
We also are more than willing to do specialized training runs for members who wish to learn how to play a new class, learn to play what is considered more efficiently, as well as to learn new/less familiar dungeons/paths. Our goal is to give you a sense of community as well as help you grow as a player.
If this sounds like a good fit for you please fill out our application form on our website and one of our leaders/officers will contact you in game. The application is just a formality, we do not intend to turn anyone away within reason. We all make mistakes. We are all Goobers. Join us.

We are a guild formed from the dregs of other guilds. Upset with the quality and dedication of guild members, (Oh, you have 300 members? It looks like only 50 are ever online…. Why are only 5 repping?) and dismayed with the lack of leadership and willingness to help from guild leaders and officers, we have formed a guild in the hopes of bringing players together to learn new things and skills in the game we all love (and love to complain about.)
What we do:
Dungeons
Fun times
What we do not do:
Guild Missions
WvWvW
Does this sound like its the kind of guild for you? Do you want to join us in our awesome fun times of ridiculousness? If so there are a few things you need to know that we will expect from you if you want to become a goober:

Okay, so I just skimmed the user agreement and read the code of conduct and I still have a few questions in regards to reporting.
I know that in PvE if someone AFKs for an extended period of time when in a group/dungeon/etc it is possible to kick them from the party/instance. In PvP this is not an option. I have seen players stand at the spawn point for an entire match, scoring no points, nor making any effort. Would this be reportable under point 22 in the code of conduct in regards to match manipulation?
Also, do you as a company prefer we report people for rude conduct or just block them? I feel like if I were to report any person who “harass, threaten, embarrass or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to” (Code of Conduct, 1) me, I would be reporting multiple times an hour. There is a scale going from rude quips, to things much worse and I do realize it makes no sense to report every little thing.
I’m sorry if this is a bit nit picky or what have you. Thank you for your time.

Dear ArenaNet,
Thank you so much for putting together this meet and greet! It was really fun and much more than I had expected. Not only did you take into consideration those who were not attendees of ECCC by hosting it off site, but you also provided food and drink which in quantity and quality was far and above what was expected.
It was great listening to the Q&A even though towards the end I could barley hear dispute being right next to you guys. (Really, who comes to a Q&A to have their own side conversations?… but I digress.) I feel like we didn’t quite get the answers we were looking for in regards to some of our questions (you guys must be swimming in lists…), but in regards to others it was quite interesting listening to what the process is like and your feelings in regards to how things are going.
You really do seem to care about your playerbase which is something we are incredibly thankful for. I personally hope we are able to see more events like this in the future and I believe I can speak for a good number of us in saying that you have put together a really great game and we are looking forward to what you guys bring out in future content!

I am! I’m really looking forward to this =D Hopefully there will be enough room for everyone who wants to come to get in!
Thank you so much Obal! I had a blast last night! A great experience helps tons when learning a dungeon and last nights run was awesome! I highly recommend that anyone wanting to learn Arah 3 asks Obal if they can go with him~
Hey obal I’m interested in taking you up on your offer of running Arah 3. What sort of procedure do you have for signing up?
Thank you Fallon. I’ll send you a message in game this evening. My current goal (other than leveling my warrior) is to get Dungeon Master so [EfLA] may be a good fit.
Thank you for the offer Lunasun but at this time I intend on staying on Stormbluff Isle.
I’m looking for a PvE based guild that is active preferably in the late afternoon/evening server time. Ideally it would have established/in-progress guild upgrades and be big enough that if I duck out for a week I’ll still have a guild to come back to, yet small enough that people actually get to know each other.
As of now I have an 80 Elementalist who is fully geared, and with which I have done every dungeon except exp Arah, CoF path 3, and fractals. I’m working on a 36 Warrior who should have full exotics waiting for her when she hits 80. I also have the intent to make a Guardian after that.
I have played WoW for about 3 years, back in the day when it first came out. Before that I had about a year in FFXI. I have experience with helping lead large raid guilds in WoW, as well as with small social guilds here on GW2.
I’m a college student (hopefully graduating soon?… please?) and thus my play patterns follow the school year patterns. Near exams I’ll be gone for a few weeks, maybe popping on here and there to do the daily but no serious play time. I work all year but Summers are peak play time. I’m taking a quarter off so I’ll have a good deal of time until April to get to know people.
I need a guild that is at least semi-literate and also has a good sense of humor.
Hello!
I’m looking for a guild of active players, preferably not a huge one… I’m not looking for obsessive end game dungeon/loot drama (does GW2 even have that kind of content?)
and I’m not particularly into PvP/WvW, and my current interest is hitting the level cap and casual dungeoning (yes, that is now a word).
I do have MMO experience, I played WoW for ~4 years. I quit mainly because of the kinds of drama I’m now looking to avoid.
I’m a working college student and thus I’m most active in the evenings and weekends server time.
An overall guild sense of humor is a must! I’m mainly looking for fun hang out times~!
Is it beneficial to to use all of the movement speed increase traits at once? or is there a limit to how much your movement speed can be boosted?
Zephyr’s Speed – 10% when attuned to air
Zephyr’s Boon – 33% movement increase for 11 seconds when you cast an aura
One with Air – +5% every 10 seconds up to 25%
Windborne Dagger – 15% when using a dagger
Thank you!
