TBH as far as condition cleansing goes whether its group or self, it comes down to build. Doesn’t matter if its a warrior or guardian both can be traited/geared to have a lot of cleansing or very little.

I think if anything some of the scaling should be tweaked a little to make healing a bit more viable than it is now.

As someone who has a guard & war. I’d give it to my guard but comes down to if either of your chars are built for healing.

Not 100% on the exact math but i think its 20 healing power for every 1 hp on the signet passive and 7 healing power for every 1 hp on adrenal health.

You could go from clerics to apothecary and make a condition tank build with sword/bow.

I’ve tried something similar for wvw but it was more successful at trolling roamers than anything. You’ll still die to a lucky burst or focus firing but it can be a decent speed bump.

For PvE, it was ok but usually switched to another build for dungeons/group activities.

Valor – Strength in numbers (or Meditation mastery if you run any), Honorable Shield (or Mace of Justice if you run mace), can run Retributive Armor in either to help boost crit rate for vigor procs
Honor – Superior Aria, (two-handed, Empower or Writ of Persistence), Battle Presence
Virtues – (Improved Spirit or Master of Consecrations), Absolute Resolution

Utilities – 2 shouts (SYG + your choice, I like HTL and retreat), last slot varies on fight/situation/group, elite is usually renewed, courage is good as well but i tend to find more uses for renewed

Gear – Mix of soldiers + clerics or knight + clerics, you’ll want enough crit to reliably trigger vigor. You can run without +healing but the extra healing helps with battle presence
Runes – Soldier (shout cleanse)

Note that the healing won’t save anyone for spike dmg but does help quite a bit with survivability of the group.

Battle presence ticks for 102 normal, 128 with absolute resolve with only the base 300 healing. Add +6 normal or +8 absolute per tick for every 100 healing power you have after the 300.

Weapons – your choice (I tend to run some combo of scepter, mace, shield, Hammer, Staff)

Note: you can switch battle presence for pure voice and soldier runes for boon duration, if you’d like to go that route instead

Like many have said it depends on what you want to do. But this is from my own experiences playing both my guard and war (both 80s full geared with multiple armor sets).

For Dungeons groups (not always but more often than not for pugs)
Dps War > Guard
Groups usually want 1 guard but for doubling up on class I’d rather bring an extra war. Picky speed groups will generally want a high dps war over a high dps guard but either is viable in groups.

Raw dmg (varies on build)
War > Guard

Survivability (where surviving is more important than dps)
Guard > War

Group Support (varies on build but in terms of variety/options)
Guard > War

3x monk/water gives you a little more healing power
vs
2x water/monk/dwayna for the 20% to regen

Hmm.. Honestly haven’t tested out + regen duration as much as I’d like to have, so not sure which would be better in the long run.

2x monk / water / sanctuary (Major) would be the standard meta for boon runes. I ran monk/water/sanct for awhile but later switched to 4x Altruism 2x Monk. Lost 10% boon but gained 3 stacks of might for myself/group on heal.

Unless your constantly facing large zergs, I think overall two-handed mastery will help more in the long run than empowering might. Even if you switched from hammer to staff for the aoe, from my experience the reduction on MB/empower/symbol cd will net you more AH ticks.

As far as +healing goes, its more of a preference than anything. Some love it while some see it as a wasted stat. If anything its how much +healing you feel comfortable with, do you want high dmg low heal, low dmg high heal or average of both. It also comes down to who you are supporting. When I run with friends I run more healing since I can rely on them to make up the damage I lose. When I’m with randoms I tend to swap out a few clerics for knights or soldiers.

I’m a bit curious on why you went with 3x water 3x fighter instead of all fighter or 3x water/monk
