Investigation by Miyani bugged?

Because of other, more important things, during this weekend I had only around 4 hours to spare on this event, before phase 2 began. Still, I would be able to complete whole phase 1 if Fahd wasn’t bugged. Now I read that it was just a waste of time. Thx A-Net. In future I will just ignore all one-time events. Will save me a lot of frustration, time, and waypoint fees.

Thoughts on Ascended Gear? [Merged threads]

What makes me really worried is fact, that not even 3 months have passed since GW2 release, and we are already getting a higher tier of items. What will happen after a year or two?
In first Guild Wars, when I was coming back after a longer break to experience new expansion/content, I knew my old gear is enough to finish it. Didn’t matter if it was PvE of PvP. I could just hop in and enjoy the game like everyone else.
But now I’m getting a feeling that in GW2 it will be no longer possible. That at some point I won’t be able to progress, and all that effort put in getting that expensive exotic gear was meaningless. The feeling of completion I had since yesterday, when I finally got the last piece of exotic gear for my main char, just faded away.

The outstanding Hatchery Bug

I like how Jeffrey Vaughn’s post from October 24 got edited over a week later to remove November 5 as ETA for fix. (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/The-hatchery-bugged/528545)
Jason, I get a feeling that you don’t understand well what all those pople here say. You talk about dirupting everyone’s gamplay. Yet we don’t ask “why there wasn’t an emergency build to fix this issue”, we ask “why none of all those already pushed builds didn’t contain fix, even though it’s been ready for weeks”. There were fixes for pvp, holiday event, crafting. Many of those were addressing bugs discovered after The Hatchery became broken.
Personally, I like doing storyline quests and exploring maps as I follow my personal storyline, that’s my playing style. I tried pvp, but didn’t like it. Same with crafting – good for additional XP, but I found it pointless besides that. Why do you make me feel like I belong to some worse category of players? Why other problems get fixed, but this one keeps getting pushed further in schedule? You tell me to start another char, but how can I invest time and heart in another toon, knowing that it all can be ruined by a simple bug?
One last thing. You explain why you don’t fix issues immediately. Jason, let me ask you, knowing how long this bug is present, don’t you find the word “immediately” a bit… inappropriate?

Looks like we really will have to wait til November 5 to see this fixed. Well, actually November 6 for those living in Europe.
I’m really disappointed ArenaNet, as I don’t buy that part about fix being tested for a couple of weeks, to avoid changes to other parts of the game. Somehow Halloween fixes were being added in only a small fraction of that time.
Someone responsible for making those decisions should look past fancy schedules, charts, or whatever is causing the delay and put himself/herself in our shoes. This whole situation is ridiculous and lesson should be learnt, to avoid it happening again in future.

Mission broken for me too. Tried it a couple of times, and same result each time – progress stops after the “blah blah, destroyers killed Kittaka” part.
Order of saving skritt? Just following green circles on mission map. Talking to every npc when possible.
The funny thing is that patch notes state that mission was fixed in last update. Right… So, how many weeks til you let me continue my personal storyline?
