Proposal Overview
Give pets more Utility and not just be a roaming killable dot. The ranger pets are all animals that have senses that should be able to help the ranger who pays attention to their ques. Have them be able to react to stealthed enemies and hidden traps.

Goal of Proposal

Adds a foil to the much maligned thief stealth all the time meta. Makes pets a lot more useful. Makes rangers pay more attention to what their pets are doing.

Proposal Functionality

Pets would have an emote like a howl or in the case of birds maby circle the source of danger. This would be a passive function that all pets would do.

Associated Risks
Detecting stealth all the time might make rangers a little unbalanced against thieves but I feel that if you make it so you have to be watching the pet to be warned of impending danger the ranger could miss the warning.

I really like these skins. I Think they would look fabulous on my Thief. I really want the whole set for her.

However they (the tickets) can only be found in the skinner boxes Anet calls Black Lion Chests. For Those of you thinking of using your hard earned money to buy keys from the store, don’t. The drop rate on the skraps and whole tickets is terrible. You could end up spending a hundred dollars or more for just one skin if your unlucky enough. BLC’s need to go away. And we need to send Anet the message that abusive cash grabs are not welcome in our beloved game.

I was gathering on my guardian. A character I don’t usually do the daily on. I would be really upset if Anet decided to make gathering arbitrally harder.

I Don’t know if anyone has noticed this but if you are in combat when you try to gather you will get ruined materials. It happened twice and I tested a few more times. Ran past a mob got in the middle of gathering got hit. Ended up with 1 good mat and 2 ruined mats.

I like the idea of them in theory. The concept of wielding a solid manifestation of a given element like a weapon is a cool one. The problem is they lock you out of all your other skills without really giveing you anything extra to compensate. Lightning hammer comes close with the extra cc and nice damage. And As other people have said FGS Does do alot more damage than people seem to think.

The other problem is the weapon takes up a precious slot up on your utility bar and as a DD Ele I need those for defence. Now if they were one skill like the elementals and summoned a weapon based on your current attunment I would deffinatly think it would be worth a space on my bar. What would also helped would be to either remove the time limit or shorten the cooldowns on the skills.

You can travel to any races capital and thus their starting zone at any level. Every City has a portal to lions Arch. when you come out into lions arch there will be portals near by to every other capital city. And these portals are not level restricted.

just look for the round purple swirls on the city map.

Dear Arena Net,

Please nerf Deer They are way OP. I am a predator who is supposed to be at the top of the food chain and i can’t even 1v1 a doe. And dont even get me started with those Moas and their Multi Boxing. Its bad enough i need to suffer all of the 2 legs comeing after me for my teeth and claws. I swear the Devs must all main Herbivours.
