I am posting this on my sons account as I guess when you are banned for one reason or another you are not even allowed to login and post. My account was just banned (terminated) with no explination other than it says I abused an ingame exploit. I got no email explaining what exploit I had abused, just a noticed my account was terminated when I tried to log in. I can not for the life of me think of any in game exploit I used justify the ban. How is someone suppose to defend themselves when no details are given about the ban.
The things that go through my mind.
Did I get banned for buying to many gems on the gemstore and trading them for gold?
Did I get banned for killing some mob that may have been bugged?
Did I get banned for crafting yellows and oranges and breaking them down for Globs of Ectos?
DId I get banned for ……………………………………. I have not a sigle clue other than my account is now been terminated and I can no longer log in.
So many questions to ask and suggestions to suggest in question format!
1) If the Fractals are fragments of history, is it possible that you could implement these one time events into the Fractals?
2) Do you have any current plans on a new game mode for SPvP?
3) Is it possible to add more to the collections tab such as cultural weapons and armor; fragments, cores, and lodestones; and boosters?
4) Should I just junk my rare and exotic backpieces or will they forever be unsalvageable?
5) How did a ship become the ceiling of the Karkas’ nest? Did they lug it there or was the water level just really high at the time?
1)graphics (1-bad…10-amazing) – 9 – Need I explain?
2)sound(1-bad…10-amazing) – 7 – Sound lag. Needs unique music. Still pretty good.
3)story concept/originality (1-boring…10-captivating) – 10 I really, really want them to expand on the Karka, Consortium, and the others.
4)loot/reward (1-lost all my money…10-gained amazing items) – 3 Essentially gained squat for loot, (and even less after salvaging, one glob from 2 rares and 1 exotic, bah) but the earring and bags were nice.
5)stability (1-extremly buggy…10-no bugs) – 6 Well, some stuff worked at least. They made an effort to fix most of it.
6)network connection/speed (1-laggy,disconnections, 10 – perfect connection) – 5 Stayed connected, and it wasn’t as slideshow-y as the second event (and I assume the first event, had I participated in it too.)
7)mini events length (1-to long/short…10-just right) – 9 It has the word mini in it after all.
8)overall event length (1-to long/short…10-just right) – 7 The whole event could have lasted longer. Sub-sections in the Ancient Karka chain could’ve been toned down (reinforcements).
9)overall Satisfaction (1-worst experience ever,10-best experience ever) – 7 Yesterday I would’ve given it a 3, but a clearer head allows me to remember a true memory rather than a clouded one in how I enjoyed many parts of the event. The social aspect, the Fractals, and the silly dialogue were great!
1.24 I have enjoyed every bit of the game. Customer service has helped my friend more than once on seperate issues.
The reason I had to bump it up to the .2 is the lag and disconnects (which I blame partially my computer and connection. Friend’s computer is actually able to see all of the mobs and has little lag. Comcast is doing poor right now, and the little green lights which I’m too technologically stupid to describe turns off, meaning there goes the connection). There’s clearly room for improvement, but I’m optimistic and hopeful that they’ll learn.
Also, Ascended gear bumped it up and extra .05, but darn it, new back pieces needed to be added anyway.
“These fractals are slices of the Mists, fragments of time that have been stabilized by the intrepid asura researcher Dessa. Some of these vignettes from history may be familiar to original Guild Wars players, while others will represent previously unseen events.”
Now, perhaps these one time events are too recent or such and such and may mess with the lore and this and that, but I’d really like to see some one time events remade into fractals.
This not only gives players the experience of doing an event they may have missed, but also gives ANet some possible redemption by fixing and changing around mechanics of each event. Each dungeon seems to focus on a gimmick of some type and a boss at the end, which is actually perfect for the two one time events that people missed (Obviously, the one time loot would have to be changed to normal Fractals loot, but let’s not dwell on that).
The Mad King dungeon is a pretty good length for the Fractals. Of course, as stated before, there appears to be a gimmick with each fractal, so if there was to be one, I’d say that the Mad King Says game would have to be constant within the dungeon. There’s also room to fix some bugs (such as the Mad King’s teleport from the bottom to mid rock, which appears unintentional).
The one I really would like to focus on, however, is the Ancient Karka event. It is clear that with the many complaints of lag, disconnects, and getting hit by things you can’t see, that many people did not experience the event to how it should’ve been. ANet can rebalance, change the length, and overall improve on the whole event for 5-man parties. The highlight of the event was having to move the Karka back to its nest, which in itself had some pretty cool concepts. The only problem is that it might need a different gimmick (I’m tired of the word gimmick, aren’t you?) for it to be placed into the Fractals. The idea of the Geyser was pretty nice. Kitten, maybe destroying different objects while avoiding the boss’ attacks is a good enough device. “But 5 people didn’t take down a giant Karka!” you say. That didn’t stop them from making the attack on Ascalon, did it?
The point I’d like to make is that ANet can really redeem themselves if they add these former one-time events into Fractals. The possibility of having to experience that event as it should have been is really nice. After all, the fractals are supposed to be a part of history. If history as far back as a time from GW1 can repeat itself, why not an event so near?
Would love to hear thoughts of others on this.
