Totally agree with this! There are some norn headgears that, for example, look better in the female armor than in the male version, look at the stag armor, the female one is awesome, especially the headgear and shoulders, it would be rad to be able to use those skins on the male norns.
As Dantert says, the Stag armor has some parts that may appear more imposing in the female version than in the male one.
Why not open the possibility to have access to also these pieces of armor, that are pratically skins, and mix them up? We already mix up parts to be original, allowing the players to potentially use every existent skin would only be an enrichment to the game!
Like this Halloween; I wanted to buy the Raiment of the Lich skin, but the female one has heels, like it is in high boots, and the male one has the hoofs, like a real demon.
But my female PGs can’t access them because they are available only for male characters.
And there are more examples like that, but I feel we will fall in discussing personal tastes. (Like I personally do not dislike the sight of a half-naked man, you know)
Most of my characters are female, too. But I like my girls to be dressed far more than undressed. Roleplaying with my PGs I put myself in their shoes and only the norn doesn’t feel cold, but still stays covered because she’s shy XD
There we go.
I have been playing GW since Prophecies, and I have been asking this myself this for some time now.
There have been many occasions in which I asked myself why I couldn’t use an armor skin that changed so much in appearance from the male to the female one.
Maybe I liked one so much and thought it fitted perfectly, but disliked the one that was meant for my character’s sex.
So, I think it would be great if people could choose the appearance of their character from the poll of all the available options, restricted, (for obvious monster-creating problems) to their chosen race.
It wouldn’t result strange in looks, but, on the contrary, could give you the possibility to feel unique, and would give players more armors to collect.
I understand this transmutation could result simpler from a male’s to female’s skin most of the time, because of the covered/uncovered bits. And sometimes could require adaptation measures.
But, again, is that really a problem? (apart from all the work for the adaptation of all the armors, Devs please don’t hate me!)
I have thought also about the ‘culture’ thing. Imagined people going like, “It would be absurd in Tyria seeing a man in a skirt, or a woman in man’s full armor”.
Well I see a lot of people enjoying using dyes of colors that aren’t ‘culturally’ fit for their gender, like awesome hello kitty pink norn in full gear. It’s already happening, with the tools that we have.
Or the hair. It wouldn’t be awesome to have all the haircuts available? (still as an in-race feature)
And what if my character was born with a very feminine/masculine face?
I loved the game especially for the progressive costumization that was possible throughout the games, and I think this would take it one big step further.
I would like to know what you think about this.
Love to all,
Sibyl
Ps: On a side note, I heard also comments from other players about the costumization choices that they already made in the game, that were nullified by their headpieces skins.
Like the hair or beard disappearing.
I know there are clipping issues involved here, but there are some already present in the game that I and the mentioned players don’t mind. Some more clipping for the good of not shaving the heads/faces of our beloved would be greatly appreciated!

+1!
I think the fact they have not yet organized them effectively is because they are still new items in the game.
