Sounds like getting waypoints in HoT means having to go through more physical trials like jumping which is ok with me. I’ll find out, I’m just starting Dry Top at the southeast portal where you jump onto small plateaus to go further. I’ve had GW2 since it came out and play just for exploration, about 800 hours so far. So getting waypoints is a main priority for me. I never got around to buying HoT until a couple days ago.
Does The Grove mimic vertical zones at least by some sort of appearance?
And he’ll probably be occupied with king Thorn activities in GW (the original) as well?
I name my characters after each city and none were taken. As for the cleverness of them I’ll let readers decide:
Typical La Tourist
Hoping For Hoelbrak
Chill In Da Citadel
Rather Be in Rata
Devoted To Divinity
Groovin In Da Grove
I couldn’t find a thread about the new first person view so if this gets merged into another thread that’s fine. First person view seems good for the most part as far as the graphics or the visual quality. Except one thing. The ground is less detailed because you are closer to the ground all the time in first person.
So after waiting for over two years for first person now I’m a little let down because the ground textures are not as sharp as in 3rd person when you rotate the view high enough. I realize the ground can be blurry in 3rd person if you rotate down far enough, but you have the choice in 3rd person to have more detail in the ground surfaces if you rotate the view up a bit. Other than that complaint I like first person view very much. I’m not really getting into the combat aspects of 1st person view at this point but no problem if you want to discuss it.
