I think it would be really nice if the Order’s weapons / armor could be changed to soul bound on use or account bound. Especially since the ability to change the order you are in has been removed. That way, you would be able to have the Priory shield that you love while still having the Whispers armor top that you love.
Thank you for your reply. I understand why you disagree with me. However, I still feel that the story line should be allowable to be completed if you can’t find a large enough party.
Yes, it is an MMO, so use the scaling to get it more challenging and go into the dungeon with 5 – 10 players. I’m not saying do away with the ability to form a group.
So, in essence, if someone can’t find a group, they can still complete the dungeons. If they can, they can do the dungeon with a higher difficulty with their party of 5 or more. You still will have the MMO aspect of the game (not to mention the MMO aspects of WvW and PvP).
So, while I understand your point of view, and thank you for your reply, I still think it should be done.
The last quest of my personal story line is a dungeon. When I enter it, there is a pop up saying that the recommended party size is at least 5. I have not been able to find a party large enough in the time I have. Therefore, this means that I am being prevented from finishing the storyline. I think that is a huge downfall of the game.
Yes, I know, I’m not that good, and there are a ton of people who are much better than I am. However, I feel that even the people who don’t have a ton of time to become an expert in game play should still have access to and experience all aspects of the game (remember it’s just a game and games should be enjoyable for all). That’s not to say don’t make it challenging. Please, by all means, make it challenging. However, the necessity of having 5 people in the party to complete a personal story quest is beyond challenging in my opinion.
A simple solution to this would be to expand just one game mechanic that is already in place. That mechanic to expand is that characters levels scale to the area that they are in. So, why would it be such a bad thing (or hard to achieve) to have the dungeons difficulty scale to the size of the party that is entering? By just expanding this one function that is already in place, players of all skill levels can enjoy all aspects of the game.
OK, so when I do a heart and get 100 karma, or an event and get 200 karma; it will take (averaging these numbers to 150 for math) 1680 events / hearts to get one full set of karma armor. As a PVE player, the jug of karma is essential to get a set of karma armor, with it’s cost being 252,000 karma.
I must admit I do like the variety as the items needed change to get the daily jug of karma. However, we used to need only 3 activities to get the daily jug of karma, now we need 5. As a PVE player (I don’t like PVP or WVW), all the other ways have not changed. So with one set the same and the daily items being more, I don’t understand how is this less? Can you please explain this to me, what am I missing?
Maybe it’s just me, but I think that if you are going to add more stuff for people to do for the daily items to get a jug of Karma, you should reduce the Karma cost of the in game items.
A suggestion for the dungeons would be to scale the difficulty for the number of members in the party. If this was done, then those of us who don’t want to wait 2 months getting a large enough party together because of odd schedules, could still have the ability to get the rewards from the dungeons. I for one, don’t like hanging outside a dungeon for 5 months begging people to join my party so I can get the cool rewards that are only available by completing the dungeon. Yes, I could buy them on the trade, but they are just so overpriced, that is prohibitive as well. I’m just saying that everyone, with every situation and schedule can have the opportunity to get the cool rewards, not just those who are lucky enough / patient enough to get a large party.
To be honest, I don’t feel it gets boring after level 30. I find that it can get boring at all levels. I say this because I’m primarily a PVE player (never could get into PVP). It was really fun and exciting to progress through the story line – until … I had to start farming for level up points.
Once I was forced into farming for level up points so I was a high enough level to proceed with my story line, it got boring. It seems like I’m almost the only one who feels like this, but being forced to do heart after heart and each event 50 times just to level up to progress is not my idea of fun and exciting.
I agree with you that if there was something to work toward like a cool class-specific ability or something to work toward. I can’t even work toward getting armor or weapons because I don’t know what they look like yet. Just something to break up the feeling of grinding for promotion points would be really nice.
I think it would be really nice if you could design the guild armor from a selection of skins to make your guild a unique. I also think it would be really cool if there was a way to make custom designs for your guild icon.
I searched the forums for a way to see what order a character is a member of, but have not found one, so I would like to make a suggestion.
I think it would be nice to have an addition to the equipment tab in the hero window. I would like to suggest that an additional line be added just under the character name and character level. I think it would be nice to add a line to what order the character is a member of. This would make it easier for me to remember which character is a member of which order, if I eventually wanted order armor.
I didn’t see this issue yet, so I’ll ask if anyone has a solution to my problem. I’ve tried to purchase some items through the Black Lion Trading Company. One of the items was copper ore. The transaction went through seemingly fine, and I got a message saying that it went through.
The problem is that when I go to the “pick up” pain, the button to take all is greyed out, so I cant pick them up. I then clicked on the “my transactions” pain and it says that there are no transactions.
The numbers listed when I tried to buy these items say that there are plenty of people trying to sell these items.
So, the first part of the purchase goes through just fine, but I can’t pick the items up. Anyone know how I can get this to work?
