I presume you mean each skin rather than the entire set of 16 skins, if it was the full set I would have no problem facing RNG to get it, but if it is just one there lyies my issue.
lol what is this thread? organizing teq is hard in na? I haven’t failed teq in ages, you just show up 10 minutes before it starts and you win. People don’t pin up to do champs or events? are we even playing the same game?

In EU for organised maps you are on the map for an hour because they fill up so fast. Still pugging them aint so bad once you get started, often succeed but tight in time.

I have been working on my HoM on and off for about 13 months in Gw1, probably overtime for it but I am a fairly casual player there. My goal was to learn more about the lore and eventually get up to 10 points for the FGS.
It was when I went to claim it (FGS) that I found out that it was locked.
Would it be possible to send in a support ticket to unlock it? Or would it open a floodgate that you cannot handle with other people asking the same?

I’ll go ahead and comment on this thread, as it seems to be the most recent of the HOM ones.
I’ll try to explain this without getting too technical, and some parts are probably going to have to be left out.
The bug that caused players to unlock achievements/skins/titles and achievement points was caused when the GW1 server that stores the HOM status talks to the GW2 server that controls new character creation. Basically it was sending bad data to the GW2 server, and unlocking achievements that should not have been unlocked.
This means that there were multiple problem points that need to be cleaned up. The first thing to be cleaned up was the bug that caused this to happen, and that was fixed within a few hours. However, the removal of the rewards is an entirely different problem.
We don’t have the tools to easily mass remove achievements/titles, which means it’s something that has to be developed. Unfortunately, this came at a time where our resources are tapped to the max, so it’s taking longer than we would like to fix this.
Thankfully (lol), when the HOM rewards bug was happening, the actual HOM was not accessible, and those players were not able to claim any other HOM entitlements…so the damage was somewhat limited.
We are working on this, I assure you, and we will remove the rewards from players that should not have received them. I do not have a timeframe, as modifying accounts at this type of level is not something we would ever take lightly, and as long as we keep a majority of the entitlements locked there is less for us to clean up.

I am participating in the Secret Toymaker event, however my computer is not working and I will not have a replacement in time to log ingame to send a gift to someone. (already missed a few updates due to it).
I went searching for Gem Cards as I would be able to send the code via Email to the person whom I am partnered with. What I didnt expect is that they would be unavailable .
Is there any way I could purchase a card directly from Anet?

What I dont agree with is the pay to win vibe. it has two tiers, a double RNG (RNG1+RNG2) and apaid option (guaranteed and RNG2)
Lets look at probabilities:
Tickets
Random drop from ToT bag = x (less than 1)(0.022 from the wiki)
Gem store chance = 1
Chance to win in the draw = y (1000/sum of tickets).
Player who cant/doesnt want to spend money on gems.
Chance = x*y (where x and y are both less than 1)
This creates a very low probability of actually getting anything.
Looking at the Paying player:
Chance = y*1
This gives a chance that is 45 times greater at winning a weapon skin (1/0.022).
In my mind this is highly unbalanced
I have been waiting for an update like this I have a feeling that it will be well used (by myself at least).

First time posting here, I post often enough on Reddit so ye may have seen me there.
I love collecting data and then presenting it (the API is an aspect of the game I adore).
I currently have two public sheets to present to you, one is covers everything from fliping to converting karma to gold, the other was done in partnership with another user (SteelWolf) and is a tracker template for more long term investments.
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
