Thanks for the reply Loki. Your suggestions are exactly the type of system I was thinking. I hadn’t even thought about creating a ranking system similar to WvW or PvP. Now that you’ve mentioned it, it seems like a great way to increase the atmosphere and camaraderie of being in a guild.
Keeping the job requests instanced or making the enemies only hostile to guild members appears to be a good plan to prevent random zergs from interfering.
Anyone else have an interest in completing personally chosen “jobs” on behalf of their guild(s)?
I’m glad I am not the only one. These jobs could include cut-scenes and instances similar to the personal story, so players can feel more embedded in the gw2 world.
A variety of anime and fantasy settings where guilds are a prominent part of the story feature the concept of a “Job/Quest Board” where people in the world request the help of a guild’s members to accomplish something. I suggest a similar feature be added to Guild Wars 2. NPCs would post a variety of “job requests” for a guild. Individual members of a guild that were interested would undertake the job representing their guild and receive the reward listed in the job request. Harder jobs would have larger pay-offs.
