I sent my daughter a free trial invite. She registered the key, downloaded last night. Today she tried to login, and is getting:

“The Account Name or password you entered is invalid. Please check your information and try again.

She’s tried several times. She can’t reset her password, as the page for doing so requires a character name and she doesn’t have one yet. She has never played GW or GW2.

We did submit a ticket, but like another poster, we’re concerned by the time this is resolved, the trial will be over.

I’m not sure what else we can do.

My friend had this issue as well, then I looked at my client and saw my email at the username bar. I told him to try his email on the client and it worked. Try that

I’ve tested out various builds to run with zergs all the time and this is what I came up with which seems to work very nicely for me. Remember this build is based upon dealing quick and high damage since you run with a zerg all the time, meaning your enemies will fall pretty quickly because of the amount of people jumping them.

Why GS/LB? Because they both come in great with eachother. The Greatsword is great for dealing quick melee damage, mobility and quick escape. It also does a good amount of AoE damage which is needed when jumping a group.
The Longbow is more used for defending your bases, or if you just cant be fast enough to reach the target before it dies. Also, this does great AoE damage too with both #3 and F1 for attacking defenders on the walls and such. And in combo with the traits I’ve picked here it does even more damage!

The build pretty much speaks for itself, gearwise I always pick gear with Power, Precision and Critical damage/Critical %. On the GS I have a Major Sigil of Bloodlust and on the LB I have a Major Sigil of Force .

Like I said in the beginning of this post, I tried it out, and I would rate it 4/10
Yes it deals a good amount of damage, yes you can close gaps with the secondary weapon choice, yes it has some good sides to it. But perfect? Hardcore? that’s a big nope.

You told me I’d survive longer, well I didnt, instead, I died more times than I did with my old power build with GS/Longbow. You complain about warriors their range skills yet they are very effective in WvWvW, infact they deal great damage compared to your weapon choices.
Ofcourse you’ll survive most of the time because you have a zerg behind you, I’m mainly part of a big zerg too 90% of the time, and when I rush into the enemy with your build I get owned pretty quickly. Yet I last way longer with my own build.

Nice try but it really needs some improvement, you base your build on your zerg. If it works for you, fine, but if you look close at this thread, it doesnt works for most of the people here.

You’ve made ur character features, a hairdo, this big, these eyes, those lips, this size of body. But after you’re playing for a while you might think “Hmm, i’d like to try a different bodytype or hairdo.”

This is where a Barber NPC would come in handy, an NPC which will allow you to change your characters hairstyle or bodymass and details etc. at a small fee depending how much you change.

If not then atleast give us some gem item where we can re-do our character body details etc.

Hi all,

On several occasions I’ve been feared by a Necromancer for a good, at least, 10 seconds. Once during hot-join game and once during a tournament by a single Necro with no one else around. I am not even exaggerating – the fear lasted at least 10 seconds, I was feared FROM the Mine point TO the water down below. Even with +fear duration traits and runes it would still be impossible.

Is this some sort of a bug/exploit, or am I missing something?

I’ve never heard or seen anything like that, and sounds very impossible indeed so I assume its a bug yes. We necro’s can hardly fear anything above 2 seconds

Same for the staff of necromancer, always “Obscured” when I try to hit it from any angle, very rarely it works and insta-killes it. But when I switch to other weapons it can hit from anywhere but usually takes 2-3 hits to kill it

More suggestions are welcome too

Yeah the different bank levels are a good one too

I agree that there are some bugs regarding PvP and WvW for necro. Thats why I never enter those with my necro. The Necro was my first class and will probably remain my main too, but I focus my necro on PvE mostly and I noticed that kinda works out well. Yes there are some bugs and problems with it but I dont complain about it. I already got a few alts to do WvW and/or PvP with them because as a necro I seriously fail in PvP.

I’d like to see a few changes regarding guilds if it’s possible, I’ll summarize them below:

- Notifications when someone logs on in the guild, example: “PlayerX has logged on.”
- Notifications when a new guildmember joins or leaves the guild.
- When editing the gmotd it goes blanc if you press it, which is annoying if you have a huge gmotd. It’s way better if the text of the gmotd is still there when you want to change it so you can quickly edit it.
- Notification when gmotd gets updated
- Show gmotd when you log on
- Show a message something like “You wont be able to see chat if you dont represent the guild” upon joining a guild, or auto-represent upon joining a new guild

This would be much simpler regarding guilds and such.

Hey there,

I had the problem with the endless loading animation and solved it!

I tried several things, so I´m not 100% sure which made it happen, but I guess importing the certificates manually did it:

- log in as admin
- navigate to your gw2.exe
- rightclick – properties
- tab “digital signatures”
- select signature from the list – click on details
- view certicificate – install certificate
- repeat for “counter signature”

Hope that helps!
If not let me know and I´ll try to remember the other steps I did.

Tried that and didnt help, what were the other steps you mentioned?

Still not working, I’m beginning to think that we cant fix it ourselves, but Anet has to do it on their side

Anyway, if it doesn’t show up from that link either, then you’re problem is with the certificate still.

In game I still see the spinning (loading) yellow circle.

The TP is still blank for me, even after the maintenance screen… Also I cant buy anything either. Still the same bug…

I almost jumped a hole in the air when I found out the official GW2 forums were up, but then I turned sad when I saw that there was no suggestions board, because I think we really need to have one to be honest.
