Honestly see’ing turrets bleed and take poison damage is really sloppy.
I would rather see turrets have a fixed amount of attacks that kill them.
meaning something like the rifle turrets have 10 (or whatever balance indicates and dependent on engi traits) health and takes 1 damage from every attack, meaning that every class and spec can equally damage them. Something like the wards from league of legends.
“the scoreboard has me on the lower end of the team more often then not, as much kitten-80 points behind my next closest teammate.”
The scoreboard is irrelevant and is a bad indicator of your effectiveness.
In the beginning focus on one profession and build (change specs a few times in the beginning to get a feel but develop one primary spec), along with one style of play (bunker,roamer,decapper,1v1er, etc.) (and read up a little bit on your spec to learn its rotations and play style, some specs are harder than others)
Also focus on learning the maps and the win conditions for the map (watch out for the svanir, and guild lord noob traps)
Once your confortable enough in a 1v1, develop your map awareness and being able to know where the enemy is at.
Make sure you have fun, dont grind pvp!
Hope that helps.
My suggestion would actually be daily and weekly automated tournements.
Daily Tournements (Twice daily AM + PM to accommodate different timezones)
Runs for 1 hour each (rewards based on how many wins you have during the tournament(No elimination for losing))
Weekly Tournements (Twice daily AM + PM to accommodate different timezones)
Runs for 2 hour each Elimination style Rewards based on how long you lasted in the tournament
Recommended rewards – are skin unlocks that are currently unavailable to a person who pvp’s exclusively (or whatever else a person who exclusively sPvP’s would want)
(Future expansion for casting are the monthly tournaments)(Access to these is restricted to teams placing in the top 3 in the weekly tournament)
I think this would be a healthy and self sustaining system that would not require direct employee supervision if properly automated.
I wish Jeffrey Vaughn worked on the tPvP side of things, we need you bad over here!
Clones and Phantasms spawning naked on not doing a single thing.
So much for a useful class mechanic.
