^ I agree it’s absurd indeed. All the tools are in place to do this. I see no reason not to do it other than them being lazy. If some random guy can make a mod like this why can’t they?
For the love of god please do this! I posted here many times during the beta along with others and it was blatantly ignored. As far as I’m concerned we got false advertisement as far as the combat goes. Either make an Action MMO or don’t. Don’t try to go halfway on it. As it stands the combat right now is WoW with dodge..big deal.
This will improve every aspect of the game for those of us that prefer this style of combat and control. For those who like WoW style they can stick with the way it is now. Make all these toggles in the options menu. Everyone wins!

These are a couple of ideas on how to improve the controls and also the combat in this game. If you’ve played Tera or Dungeons and Dragons Online you should be familiar how it would work. These would ideally be check boxes in the game settings.
1. Mouse look toggle:
I shouldn’t have to hold down right click down all the time to pan the camera. This causes strain and doesn’t work well most of the time when doing jump puzzles or in intense combat. This would also free right click as a bindable function (dodge anyone?).
2.Targeting reticle toggle:
I personally hate the way targeting works in this game. I would love an option to have a small targeting reticle/cross hair to function as a way to quickly change targets by pointing the reticle on mobs.
I have a few other ideas, but these two alone would improve the game ten fold for me and perhaps other people. I thought this was advertised as an action MMO? Why go halfway on it? If you like how the game plays now that’s fine. It’s not like it would be forced.
I see no reason why #1 couldn’t be done fairly easy. That would be a start. #2 might be a bit harder, but would improve the game A LOT in my eyes.
I’ve been advocating this since every previous beta event, but it’s been blatantly ignored.
