update: nevermind on the celestial bugs, realized I wasnt using it correctly as the #4 skill has a 2 1/4 second charge…
however, i figured out the bug with the gray square. if u enter water in celestial, u cant use ur underwater weapons and when u leave the water the gray square comes back. u can remove it by dying (downing doesnt help) or by using celestial mode on land again
also, ty for the bristleback enlarged pet holy lmao. however, a bug with that. if u click the bristleback special skill while going into celestial, it gives u 3 notifications saying u learned 3 new skills (the later 3) of celestial mode. after that, ur utilties dont work until u get out of celestial
Had fun with druid today; here’s a couple bugs/flaws I noticed:
attached is picture of druid energy bar all kitten up
after using skill 4 in celestial mode the other skills would cooldown, then recooldown as in double cooldown for some reason
also, many celestial mode skills did not have very quick response time, not sure if this was meant to be
additionally, the blue wyvern charge sometimes goes for another opponent that is not targetted (for example, in wvw instead of player smacks the deer)
Anyway, thanks for the druid, its a fun class and cant wait for more of it during the expansion!
nice idea i mite make a vid if anet approve sounds good
With the new patch, the ranger healing skill “Healing Spring” is now a trap.
However, when running “Superior Runes of the Trapper”, “Healing Spring” does not receive the additional stealth and speed bonuses as do the other trap skills. The runes read:
(4): When you use a trap skill, you gain 3 seconds of super speed.
(6): Gain 3 seconds of stealth when using a trap skill.
This may be something ANET overlooked, or maybe it should just be specified only offensive trap skills receive the boons.
I FOUND THE FIX BRO!!!! The reason why you aren’t updating is because you are downloading it from one of GW2’s download servers that are going down or are already down.
Right click your shortcut for launching, then click properties. Under the Shortcut tab, you will see a box labeled “Target:” that leads to wherever the file is stored. Next to the path, paste -assetsrv (server IP address). Find a working one from a list here: http://gw2status.de/
For example, I used “E:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 151.249.89.209:80
MAKE SURE THE -assetsrv (server IP address) IS OUTSIDE QUOTATIONS!!!
Hope I helped
Same.. I’m on windows, so I’m guessing this is for everyone. My friend next door did it with no issue, but he did it while the game had just updated. GW2 please fix your stuff.
Whenever I go from one area to another, the loading screen flickers right in between each place. For example, lets say I am going from Hoelbrak to World vs. World. I click Eternal Battlegrounds, and the background paper appears for Eternal Battlegrounds with the loading circle in the corner. After 1-2 seconds, the Eternal Battlegrounds wallpaper flickers, then the loading is finished and I am back in the game.
I never thought much of this, as the screens are fast and all, but recently I have been trying out recording with GW2, and I notice whenever one of those flicks occurs, my recording breaks and restarts. I’m guessing now that whenever those flicks happen, GW2 is actually doing some sort of quick reset. This is really annoying and I would really love some help with fixing the black flicks. Is there some sort of option/fix for it? Thanks!
bump —-———————————
Hey! I am looking for a group, not a guild*, that speed-runs dungeons during reset(8pm EST) daily or on most days of the week. I am a fairly experienced player who can run both a warrior and a ranger meta. Also TS3 friendly.
Here is what I am looking to run on a nightly basis:
AC 1-3
CM 1-3
TA Up & Down
SE 1 & 3
CoF 1 & 2
CoE 1-3
Arah 1-2
Please contact me if you have such a group avaliable!
*If a dungeon-running guild lets non-guildies run with them contact me as well :P
Can’t seem to find it on the gem store, if anyone knows how or when this is available, please tell me!!!
ANET…
Seriously, hurry the f*** up. It has been over 2 weeks and I cannot speak in my guilds. 2 weeks of playing your game without proper communication and 50% of the fun. Don’t give us: a fix planned for soon. Give us a fix now. The name of your game is GUILD Wars 2. It isn’t okay when the guilds don’t work themselves.
I don’t understand why this has not been a top priority for you guys. A bit of work on your end can save thousands of hours of frustration for your playerbase. I bet there are valuable members of the GW2 community quitting on a daily basis because of this bug, but apparently you still don’t care enough to fix it.
Hurry up already, and stop slacking.
Bump —-————————————
For a long time, I have been looking throughout forums, subreddits, and other “guild recruitment” sites, with no luck. I am looking for an active guild that runs multiple dungeon tours each night, and has a pretty decent playerbase.
As the topic title states, I am looking for a semi-hardcore dungeon guild. This is because I am simply someone who likes to run speedrun dungeon tours with experienced and coordinated groups. I am a fairly experienced player, but I am not an expert. There are a couple TA and HoTW paths I am unfamiliar with, but I am willing to put in a lot of effort to quickly learn them.
I run a fully geared ranger and a warrior. As a ranger, I am very proficient and mechanically strong. I can run a warrior to fit a party’s composition, but there is still practice to be needed for me in that region. For potential recruiters, I believe I can be a positive and mature addition to your guild. I am also Teamspeak3 friendly.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and I truly hope that one of these guilds do exist somewhere and are recruiting. Take care!
Alright. ANET, I will remain polite in this bug report, but I want to let you know that it is EXTREMELY difficult for me. The name of your game is Guild Wars 2, yet you can’t fix a bug within guilds that has been going on for weeks on end. Please fix this bug now that at least one person has reported it.
I was in 5 guilds, left 2, now joined up with another 2. In these new guilds, I cannot EVER speak in guild chat. I have tried relogging, restarting the game, restarting even my PC, going into Invisible and Away mode, changing reps, and leaving and rejoining. Nothing works. In the 3 guilds I have stayed in previously, I can speak fine. This is extremely annoying, and I would appreciate you not ignoring your players and fixing it.
Extremely interested as well. I will send you a message once I get home (1 hour).
I am getting the same issue… It started about a week ago, goin on and off. I believe that while everyone is getting a bit of the issue, Verizon FiOS users are being hit the hardest. I was PvPing for a good portion of the day, and it seems that while 50% of the players had lag, I and those using FiOS had the most lag. We can’t move, transfer maps, chat, or anything we would like to do in GW2.
Anet please fix this… It is ridiculous, my 5000 ping.
Bump ==========
Hey there!
So, as we all know, the PvP ladder tournament has begun, and many players are hitting up on ranked matches to nest a spot in the top 500. I myself am doing this, but a problem I have is sometimes the team class composition and how smart my team plays. In many situations, we lose because of failure of some to pay attention and play smart.
It is a good team, but I believe that I can do better and perform at a higher rate with a strong and dedicated group. I am looking for a Hardcore PvP guild that runs many parties each day during prime-time, or a Team of players who can make it daily around the same time. If you are interested, please comment below or send me a mail ingame.
Here is some information you might like to know:
What I play:
I play a ranger – do not leave immediately after reading this portion. I understand there is a “tradition” to treat rangers as overrated, but I am an extremely strong ranger and can hold up as long as a bunker guardian. Depending on the team composition, I can play either a tank/group support spirit or dps/burst power ranger.
When I play: (ALL TIMES IN EST)
This time can be changed to be more flexible, but my schedule is open Mon-Fri from 4:00PM – 6:00PM and 9:30PM – 11:00PM. On weekends, I can play from 9:30PM – 12:00AM.
I am only looking for strong and capable PvPers who can hold a point and win their 1v1’s.
Please contact me if you are interested.
Thank you for reading,
Pakatugg.
RECRUITMENT IS CURRENTLY OPEN
GUILD
WISP, Whisperers of the Forsaken, is a hardcore GoM WvW focused guild. We raid daily from 7 – 10 PST, and hold guild training sessions a couple times each week. We are recruiting experienced, active, and strong players who can hold their own during a fight. That being said, you do not have to come into our guild as the best player around. We also welcome players who are willing to put in the effort and time to learn and improve to reach a high standard.
If you are accepted, you shall be placed into a 2 week probation period. In this time, you will be monitored to make sure you follow guild rules and expectations.
RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Guild members must have TeamSpeak installed and ready to use.
- All guild members must use guild builds(or similar) during WvW raids.
- 100% Guild Representation while in WvW
- All members must be present for at least one training session per week.
- Be online during raids at least 4 days a week.
Apart from these, common sense also applies. WISP is being represented by you and your behavior in WvW. We are a mature, adult community, and we are fun-loving gamers just like you are. However, while it is fine to curse and make fun in Guild chat and in the Guild TeamSpeak channel, anything you do and say in Global WvW should be kept professional and clean.
RECRUITMENT
In WvW, we run 15-25 man groups against our enemy. If you aren’t clear about what that means, it means that we are often outnumbered. It will take skill and smarts to survive and join us. We do not want people who die instantly or do not understand the basics of the game. As mentioned above, we are looking for skilled players who know their class. Here is what we are currently looking for: (Y/N – Only if you are truly exceptional)
Frontline:
- Guardians: YES
- Warriors: YES
- Thief: NO
- Mesmer: Y/N
Backline: - Necromancers: YES
- Elementalists: YES
- Ranger: NO
- Engineer: Y/N
With all that being said, if you are interested, apply here at http://tinyurl.com/WispApp

Good luck!
Hello everyone. I was just wondering what interface size the majority of players used. I have been using normal for as long as I can remember, but I am wondering if small is better or more preferable. Could you let me know what interface size you use and why?
Thanks for your response!
I am looking for a guild that does quick dungeon speedruns for gold each day and is efficient at what it does.
I like to run ranger and warrior in the following paths(open to other quick ones as well):
AC 1,2,3
SE 1,3
CoF 1
Hope theres a guild out there who does dis
Thanks a lot man! Once my warrior is up, I will try an Asura engineer for my PvE enjoyment.
Thanks again!
Hello. I currently have a level 80 Ranger, which I play 95% of the time. I also have a level 36 warrior. The ranger was speed-leveled, and I am planning on doing the same with my warrior. I now want to find a class that I can take things slowly and thoroughly enjoy the GW2 PvE experience in.
Please leave your opinion on which class, and which race would be helpful as well, you enjoyed the most for solo PvE. Thanks a ton!
OH
Alright. That makes a lot more sense now. Didn’t know you could do that before though. Thank you both soooo much!
So, I recently found this GW2 World Boss Timer on Dulfy.net. It’s probably one of the most useful things I’ve seen so far. If those reading this haven’t checked it out, I advise you to do so as soon as possible.
However, I am having bit of a problem. As you can see in the attached picture, next to the events there is a nearest waypoint section. For me, that appears as [bunchofrandomtext]. I copied and pasted the test, for example [&BH4BAAA=], and it gave me results on Google as a specific GW2 Waypoint.
There are posts in the past 4 days saying how useful this is to other individuals. Therefore, I think waypoint names not appearing is an issue on my side. I am going to reinstall a couple soon, such as Java and Unity, but I’m not sure if thats the case. If anyone happens to know, please help me out!
Thanks.
Alright guys. So today I am here with a couple questions.
First, after the new update, I cannot seem to locate where the World Completion banner is on the World Map. Before, when I pressed M, it would bring up the map with a box on the top left corner for World Completion, then a box under it for the area I am in, Queensdale Completion. However, now both are gone. Could I have accidentally turned it off? Could someone please tell me how to bring it back again?
My second question is about combat. As you all know. The left mouse key rotates around the camera, but does not affect your player. The right mouse key directs the direction your player is going. Is there anyway to switch that? It feels way more natural in an MMORPG for me to be directing the player with the left mouse key instead of the right and it is really throwing off my PvE. What I am asking for is if anyone could tell me how to use the left mouse key to direct my player instead.
Thanks guys, and hope to see you ingame!
