We are a new guild called Genki Trading Guild. We are in the process of working out some kinks, but we are looking for people already!
About us:
Genki Trading Guild is a exceedingly small guild of like minded people who are interested in a new type of economy. We are very new aswell, so we ask that you do not mock our very basic website. Genki Trading Guild rarely partakes in guild missions, WvW, or group PvP. Why? Simply, we are not this type of guild. Genki Trading guild is all about trading items, to make small profits that eventually add up to larger profits. If my cynical typing style has scared you away already, please rest assured that this does not reflect our guild! We enjoy what we do, and love people!
Who we look for:
Here at GTDG we look for people who enjoy farming, and/or dealing with people. If you need some gold, this is a great way to get some!
What do you need to do?
We would prefer that you are at least sixteen years of age.
We ask that you have an Gmail so that you can report your numbers.
GTDG is working on a Mumble, although it is not required, it will help.
Be positive, and friendly.
Be on Tarnished Coast.
What if I become “Inactive”?
You do not have to log in every day! We ask that you login atleast once a month, but family (and friends) comes first, so if you have anything you need to do, feel free to go and do it!
What about Repping?
We DO NOT require that you rep! Although we would love you FOREVER, but we do not require it (See disclaimer at the bottom).*
What are the ranks?
Trader: A person who makes deals with individuals and guilds to sell items.
Producer: A person who enjoys farming, and farms items for the guild.
Diplomat: A person who is like a trader but oversees people.
Who is Slappy?
I am a 22 year old male. I enjoy economy in games, and have run other communities before. Please do not be surprised if I make any spelling errors, as English is not my first language.

I have multiple questions! One of them is what exactly is “Grey Market” trading? Like what is it defined as in the community?
Another question / paragraph would also fall into the Grey Market Trading category I guess. I have a question regarding this statement in the rules of conduct, because I am wondering about a said “Trading” guild.
“You may not buy, sell, transfer or auction (or host or facilitate the ability to allow others to buy, sell, transfer or auction) , or offer to transfer, sell or auction, or buy or accept any offer to transfer, sell or auction, any game Account or game Content, including (without limitation) game characters, character attributes, items, objects, currency, credits or copyrighted material, or any other intellectual property owned or controlled by ArenaNet, Inc., NCsoft, the Service, or our licensors, nor may you encourage or induce any other player to participate in such prohibited transaction(s), except as may be specifically authorized by the Service and by ArenaNet or NCsoft, without first obtaining our express written permission.”
This rule would rule out any opportunities of trading guilds correct? How would one obtain written permission to do such things. I realize that a trade guild could have a negative effect on the in game economy, but if people get written permission that can be taken away at any time you see fit it would not have such and effect. In fact, it would almost serve as a license to operate. I think if you could moderate this with a licenses like this, and continue to moderate the guild, it could have a positive effect on the economy.
A trading guild would be an entity that operates self sufficiently, by having people gather items. In turn authorized people would trade the items throughout the GW2 economy to other people. I feel like this would be something that could be fun for people who want a more role play kind of game.
