Open your mastery tab and click on the glider basics tab. Then just walk around and do events or grind on the small mobs to fill the yellow bar. Once you’ve filled said bar, you’ll “unlock” it by spending your sole mastery point on it.

It’s only been 3 days. If you haven’t unlocked all the masteries it’s not the end the world. Just play the game guys. You can finish it in a couple of months and that’s the idea. And yes some people have finished unlocked all core masteries and most of HoT masteries.

Except people dont play everyday. I play it for 2 hours a week and thats all. i cant even be bothered about the elite specs or the masteries. I just wanted to enjoy the story but the story is now gated behind a grind.

i can understand if the grind is for extra stuff, like the dry top and silverwastes. The loot is extra and thats a grind. They didnt put the story behind the grind. They just went “Here’s some extra shiny stoof that you might want, kill 3×10^18 dogs to get this new shiny thing”. You had the choice to say “duck it, imma just enjoy the story” and anet would be like “Sure. Np”

Now its just “Hey want to start that story? Why dont you kill 3×10^18 vines and or raptors to get unlock the mastery to proceed? Or just walk around aimlessly for about 10 mins to find an event no one is doing then repeat a few more times to get an event that thankfully some people are doing to get about 2.5% of the mastery bar. Or you can just kill 3×10^18 vines.”

cause people dont know the meaning of “grind”, “gating” and “hard”

cos i dont remember gw2 being a game where you grind for the basics. I remember doing quests much higher leveled than i was for a challenge, not grind for a lame excuse of “oh you havent unlocked this-and-that, so you cant continue”

Actually, no. They put a huge gate for you to jump over, only to have a gate behind said gate you had to jump.

So now you really cant complain that there isnt anything to do. Besides, i spent 2 hours killing vines to get the stupid mastery to glide.

After many many weeks of flushing the Mystic Toilet, i havent got my dusk/dawn. I now think that ANet doesnt give a crap about balancing prices at all.

Dusk is 1.45k gold as per typing this and i just threw 8 pearl broadswords and got back 2 pearl broadswords. I just want to be struck by lightning now to just prove that i have the luck. I seriously dont mind spending hours to farm for mats to craft one or throwing 500 exotics into the toilet and having a 100% chance of getting one rather than having a unknown chance. I know i can get one at the very least, but leaving my fate to RNG knowing that im one unlucky poop is disheartening and cruel. I know some of you have “lucked” your way to a leRNGary, but come on, just because you have one, doesnt mean you should deny everyone else the opportunity of having one.

Also, Zommoros is a big piece of poo.
