Clean your fans, if you can. Before Guild Wars 2, I was playing another MMO on my laptop, and was getting some terrible framerates. The computer was crashing as well. I opened it up, cleaned out my fans, and not only did the computer stop crashing, but I got a 25 FPS increase, as well.
That’s basically what it is, yeah. A separate server that acts as a queue. Whereas other games you’re stuck waiting to play (You’re #50 in Queue), here you can start playing right away, but just separately from anyone else who’s already in.
If you want to play with your friends, maybe if they log in and out they’ll be put in the queue as well, though I’m not sure if all overflow servers are linked like that or not.
Right, but if you use the transmutation items (you get them free for completing a map 100%), you can put the art into an unbound item that your alt can use.
For example, I have a character that’s level 20, that’s using art from level 60 gear that was bought from the trading post.
Even if i kill them i somehow die afterwards from alot of dmg
Are you getting taken down, and in your downed state hitting the 3 key? When I first started I thought that was just a “get back up” button, but I kept dying after the fight anyway. Then I read what it does – it lets you get back up to fight for a while, but after that short while, you’ll get defeated and have to respawn.
It’s best to throw hammers and rocks at an enemy or try to heal yourself (4) if you don’t have aggro to get a Rally (killing an enemy while in a downed state lets you get back up), than using the 3 ability.
If the item is bound to your character, you can put it in the bank but your other character won’t be able to do anything with it. If the item is account bound, it can go to any of your characters.
If you just want to give the weapon looks to your alt, you can probably buy a weapon, don’t bind it, and transmute the looks of it to your new item, then stick that in the bank and let the alt use it.
