Guild Halls and the additional emotes.
I’m optimistic that Guilds in the future will carry more meaning, it just hasn’t been fleshed out yet.
It has been confirmed that ArenaNet is already looking into Guild Halls. Whether or not you choose to take them at their word, that’s another story.
That is one of the many things that could help increase the number of Guild-related activities. Achieving certain goals in order to acquire banners, tapestries, furniture, rooms, and other services in your hall to make it ever larger and more majestic is something many players would enjoy. I’m certain some things will be purchasable with gems, to help drive corporate income. I have no problem with this, but I hope this is not the only thing that helps you improve your hall. Guild-wide achievements would be my favorite option.
Some unannounced, but also logical, ideas are implementing a GvG mode of PvP.
Yeah, I’ve been waiting for guild halls. I hope it brings unity to guilds in the future.
1. Guild Halls – though I hear these are coming soon.
2. Guilds that actually talk, the social aspect of the game in general (I just posted a thread about this).
3. Frequently having to find a party – I know this isn’t supposed to be miss, but it contributes to #2.
4. Capes – added some goofiness.
5. Guild tab interface – how long ago someone logged on, how long ago someone joined, invited by who. General stalker information.
(Totally kidding).
6. Ping dot – hovered it with your mouse to see your ping instead of going into options.
7. Lively “all” chat. Seems to only happen sometimes in LA now.
8. More emotes – I hear these are coming soon as well.
9. Districts – I don’t like the server system, but I understand why it’s used.
10. Free map travel
11. Being able to auto-follow

Before I start, I know there are some of you that don’t care for the social aspect of games and would rather keep to yourself. This discussion is probably not for you, but feel free to chime in.
I’m wondering if I’m doing it wrong or if other people have noticed the same thing.
The first Guild Wars was always a new experience in terms of interacting with other players. There was never a time that I logged in and didn’t meet someone new.
This social aspect of Guild Wars 2 just seems to be nonexistent. At first I attributed it to the lack of need for forming a party, but I’ve greatly noticed it in guilds.
Usually I could join a random guild and people would be typing away, gaming, and having fun. Now it seems that most guilds are voice-oriented which makes the experience kind of stale in my opinion, but even then this existed in the original Guild Wars and it was still fun.
It wasn’t hard to find a guild to fit into and that I liked. I’ve had a couple good experiences in GW2, but I had to put in a lot of effort to find it. It was so much easier before.
I was wondering if anyone has noticed the same things or if anyone had advice? Having the same people to play with was what really made the original game for me.
Yep, knew there would be an insta-thread. lol
Hi, I’m looking for a guild with pretty much two characteristics:
1. Intertwined group of people, I generally don’t like insanely large guilds because you don’t get to talk and play with the same people, or people don’t remember you, things like that.
2. PvX (varied gameplay), this I’m more flexible on. Currently I have my hand in PvE, but I plan on branching out to other areas of playing eventually.
- I tend to stray away from guilds that are obsessed with voice chat (I don’t like how I sound through voice clients). I am one of the few that likes to type more, but I guess I could get used to the voice thing.
- I don’t like nazi guilds with crazy rules, YOU MUST REPRESENT ME ALL ZE TIME. No thanks.
Information for you:
1. I am 18 years old. I am providing this information for guilds that have an age requirement.
2. I’m still learning about the game, recently got my first level 80 character… but if you want to use me for something I am willing to learn.
Please reply if you think your guild is what I’m looking for and if you’ll take me.
Thanks.

Not to mention… like half of the waypoints in the Straits of Devastation are always contested… and they are usually next to each other. Wouldn’t mind if the area itself wasn’t such a pain to move through.
I agree with your point. I’m uncomfortable with the idea of everyone easily being able to get the best thing out there. It defeats the purpose of wanting and working to obtain specific items.
I don’t think something so minor would stop most people from playing…
Same here, I had issues logging in after the patch… finally got in… shows that I’m in the guild with no other members. Try to type in guild chat, then it says I’m not in a guild. -_-
Anyone having problems downloading the new patch?

Mine was the same. Just let it sit for a couple minutes.
