Wubalubadubdub, still looking!
Fun fact, one component required to build the Guild Workshop takes 1000 flax seed … that’s a lot of flax.

Bump. We’ve pulled in some great folks so far, but looking for a few more!

Progress update: Tavern and DigSite are up in the Guildhall now, time to work towards the workshop! We also started grinding fractals to work towards the legendary backpiece, most members are almost done with 1st collection set.

Hello friend,

Our Guild [Daft Drifters] is looking for a select few to join us for everything Guild Wars related. We are a very modest guild of 6 active players that are a mix of real life or long term gaming friends. While DAFT has only been around for about 7 months, we are mainly comprised of veteran players with expertise in all areas of GW2. With the HoT expansion, we finally feel it is time to bring in a handful of folks to join our shenanigans, expand our social circle, and progress the guild forward.

Here is what we’re looking for and details about the guild:

- Most/all of our current membership are mid-late 20’s with full time jobs, families, etc. So while we do hee-haw around on comms and in game, we expect an air of maturity.

- We use Discord for voip communications and are very active over voice comms/messaging throughout the day. If you’re uncomfortable with using voice chat, DAFT might not be for you.

- I cannot stress enough how friendly and helpful we are. We focus around team cooperation and go out of our way to include everyone on what we are doing at the time, or wanting to help you with what you’re working on.

- We do not care about your character’s level or gaming skill. The majority of DAFT membership are veterans players from GW1 and have been playing GW2 since beta. We make it our mission to help you improve, these type of things are the best part of GW and help grow friendship and skill for all parties.

- Our active gaming time is from 9pm -1am CST. While we are pretty consistent and play most nights of the week, we are a small guild, so you probably won’t find anyone online outside of these times. Because of this, we do not ask nor expect you to represent DAFT 100% of the time. However with time, I hope that you’ll become such good friends with everyone here, you won’t want to rep anywhere else! =)

- We do everything GW2 has to offer, however PvE would be our main focus. Primarily fractals, events, HoT exploration at the moment, and usually a dungeon (when folks need currency) but this sort of thing changes on a weekly basis it seems! =) We are really looking forward to the upcoming progression of the guild hall and raids!.

- Everyone is equal in our community. Want some guild bank space? No problem! interested in building your own room in the guild hall? I don’t see why not! Have a suggestion for battle strategy? Please speak up! We use the guild as a social network and a platform to work towards a common goal. We try not to take anything too seriously, just have fun and make new friends.

- The majority of us are located on Sea of Sorrows server, but not all. We don’t generally do a lot of WvW, so it hasn’t been much of an issue.

We are only looking to expand our ranks to around 15 members, so please shoot me a message on here or in game. There are a few of us on just about every night of the week and would love to pull anyone into comms that is interested to talk about what you’re looking for in a guild and see if you’d fit in with us and become part of the crew.

Thanks for your consideration!

As a member of a Mini-Guild (Level 4, PvE-focussed, 4 persons, only 2 usually active) I hope that Anet will rethink the changes concerning the guilds. I do not mind if it takes small guilds a long time to accomplish something (that’s the price you pay if you are a tiny guild ), but due to the “3 players minimum in general / Level 10 minimum (all?many?) at PvE-Missions” issues around the guild missions it is actually impossible for tiny guilds to expand. Different methods to accquire favor or making guild missions accessible to 2 players would be really helpful.

This describes my situation well.
My crew and I have been playing since beta of GW2, been in and out of big and small guilds throughout the years and just 7 months ago (my crew) decided the drama, lack of belonging, and failed leadership of all the previous guilds wasn’t worth it. So we started a small guild that includes my RL friends and a few followers that we’ve picked up throughout our travels.

Our roster totals 7 members but it is difficult at any point in time to find more than 2 of us on simultaneously. While we are scheduled to all rendezvous one night to do a mission or two, it would be nice if the 3 player minimum was moved down to 2 so we could have more adhoc progression for the guild. We are all adults with jobs and families, so it is difficult to plan even 1 night a week for 5+ of us to be on as the same time.

I know it is going to take more work/longer for a smaller guild to accomplish progress, we relish the thought of this. I am just slightly bummed the restrictions in place are setting us back more than I expected.
