What level do you start seeing those weapons? It’s annoying how Sylvari get the Glyphic weapons, even if they share the land with Asura.
I’ve used it to get get away from Champion ranked mobs that are lurking around skill point commune spots after using Decoy to buy enough time to fulfil the challenge.
Being Welsh with several Irish friends, I find it very irritating how nearly every single Sylvari name that’s Welsh or Irish is mispronounced or has some sort of dodgy spelling. Caithe should just be “ka”, Trahearne should be “tra-hay-an”, Iowerth should be “yor-werth”, Niamh should be “neev”, Aife should be “ee-fuh”, etc.
If you’re going to use names from other languages then at least try to say them properly. Otherwise generic fantasy names should be used.
As for quay, the British (and etymologically correct) pronunciation probably comes from French unlike words such as quick and quest which are of Proto-Germanic and Latin origin respectively.
It was changed on 09/09. Pets automatically revive after combat or when switched out anyway so there’s no point in being able to revive them considering how inefficient it is to do so.
If importing certificates doesn’t work (like in my case where Windows crashes when I try to do it), try finding Awesomium_Process in the temporary files then delete them – specifically the .dll and the .txt files because the .exe is removed after closing the game. I find that I have to do this after every update otherwise all the tabs will be blank and if they’re not blank then I won’t be able to buy or sell anything. After doing so it takes a few tries to get the TP client to work (usually about three or four tries of opening, closing and loading different tabs – oddly it seems to be the transfer tab that most often gets the client going for me). If you can’t find Awesomium_Process then the easiest way I find is to open the task manager when the game is working, find it in the processes tab, right click and select open containing folder – you’ll need to exit the game before deleting the files though.
I’m using Vista (sue me) and I had the problem where I would open the Trading Post and nothing would appear after it finished loading. I tried a few things and one worked:
Find “Awesomium_process.exe”. If you can’t find it open the client, open the Trading Post UI and then look for it in the Task Manager, then go to File Location. After that I put it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2. I then closed the TP UI and reopened it – it now works!… Kind of. The Buy button is greyed out and nothing appears in the Sell tab. However, when I closed and reopened the client it was back to not loading after the ring stops spinning, most likely because the file is removed when you exit the client.
After this I tried deleting “awesomium.dll” and “awesomium.txt” – both found in the same location as the exe file. I booted up the client and now I am able to buy and sell stuff in the TP though it did take a few tries before it would actually load. When I closed the client and restarted it and it still works.
The trading post is blank for me too and has been for the past few days. It has worked perfectly well before, though and I haven’t done anything differently that would cause it to stop loading. I am able to access coins my transactions, however. The rest of it doesn’t load.
