Thanks. Cleared up my issue!
The issue I have with the portals IS NOT they need to be nerfed. What needs to be fixed is the broken rendering. Portals are easy to spot and Keeps are easy to sweep for stealthers. But when 50 enemies portal bomb and I can only see 5, the system is broken.
Am I doing something wrong? Whenever I RTL to try and escape a zerg I go backwards into the Zerg. Any help is appreciated.
The removal of the orbs has lead to a much better WvW experience! However, I still think the outmaned buff should be more than exp/karma etc. It should be a handicapping system.
I assume at this point the failure of Anet’s servers to render large groups of enemies is not unknown. But this issue also exploited easily by classes which can stealth. Is there any attempt to correct the bug? It is by far the biggest wvw issue.
Yeah, after steamrolling SoR everytime we are able to field a force of similar (but usually smaller numbers) I must say SoR is not, and will not be a tier one sever. Last evening, I watched IOJ fight both servers with a smaller force and dominate.
All of the chest pounding is laughable as WvW is 100% a numbers game. Bigger server, better time coverage = the I win button.
I like the ideas of players not being able to damage doors and walls. I also think it would help not only zerging but exploits being used because of the serious rendering isssues, to limit each warzone to a max number of players (for example 50 per server for each battle ground and 200 in total). This allows a weaker server to try to be competitive in a single BG. WvW should not simply be a numbers game.
There are numerous occurances in WvW of Players staying stealthed throughout entire fights. This really needs to be addressed.
IDK, been a good fight. I would seem tactically logical that SOR and IOJ stop fighting and focus on SOS, but then again, this is an internet game.
LOL ricky. Just get a mesmer near the door and problem solved with the inside siege.
Again, the only post crying about dbl teaming came from one IOJ moron. The rest of us dont care.
I agree, IOJ does not care about being dbl teamed, in fact it is flattering, imo. When then numbers are equal, we roll you scrubs with ease.
After 60 secs, a dead player should be portled
Again, I really think limiting each WvW area, for ex., Henge of Denravi, to 40 players from each server (40 is arbitrary). In this way, although there may be a huge population disparity, it would balance the different zones and eliminate zergs.
I would suggest limiting total numbers per each WvW zone. This should help with the server side issues/server exploits and allow an outnumbered server to at least be competitive in one zone; ie., their home zone.
Being Zerged is not wvw or skill. This would address that issue.
I would go further and suggest along with guild perks, more rewards for individual participation along the lines of the DAoC Realm Points.
In an effort to “encourage” Anet to address the WvW issues, exploits, etc., I am going to suggest all servers not participate in WvW from noon PST to 1PM PST on Sunday, November 4th.
Perhaps a total boycott for a short period of time will solidify for the Devs, the community is united.
Regards
The simplest solution for the players of GW2 to force Anet to address WvW issues, and there are many, is to just refuse to WvW. It is happening on many servers atm.
I agree with disabling the orbs. In addition, there needs to be a point for each individual player to participate in WvW; there shoud be few if any passive server buffs for points. A dynamic system akin to DAoC where Realm points, based upon personal participation, were an incentive to PvP.
Yes. Iritating to have all of this broken content.
Why is it that I cannot log into COF on explorer mode with my group not matter what we do. Is there a work around?
