I built my computer for performance.
I have an AMD 1090T Six-core CPU, 16Gbs of RAM, and two ATI 6850s in XFire.
I HAVE PERFORMANCE ISSUES.
I have no idea why… A friend has a Quad-core, previous gen CPU, 8Gbs or RAM, and a single nVidia video card and his graphics are smooth and fluid where mine stutter and jerk all the time, my frame rate is continuously below 20 in major conflicts, and even where there is NO ONE as soon as I spin my camera I get jerky movements… Do I need more RAM? A third video card? An eight-core CPU?

If it is account bound, I call kittens. You can sell Legendaries; if you cannot sell Ascended gear it is literally just to punish those that haven’t leveled the necessary crafting skills… It would be contrived and asinine to do that.
I do agree with you on that one, thats why I leveled every crafting profession when all this farming started taking place and the prices of materials fell.
However not everyone can do this, or wants/enjoys crafting at all. I feel like forcing them to craft their way up to ascended gear would be pretty much going against everything GW2 was supposed to be.
That was exactly what I was trying to say. Forcing people who just kitten around on WvW or sPvP into leveling their crafting just to get the best gear would be the antithesis of the ‘Play how you want’ model. While I am not in either of those groups and am looking forward to crafting further up the chain… you don’t force Alliance Marauders to Carebear, you just don’t…

The real question, in my mind is, what about the equipment like the Golden Lotus and the Magical Infusion? What happens to those?
There are a whole bunch of ways to screw up something this major and only, I don’t know, I can’t think of any but I’ll go with one, one way to do it right… Getting stiffed out of mats and gold and even dungeon tokens is one thing. Getting stiffed out of the 50 Laurals it takes to buy a Golden Lotus and Magical Infusion? Yeah, no…
I could not possibly agree with this statement more…
Well color me moron… Normally I’m rather diligent about reading patch notes. Figured there were no big changes to anything, just bug fixes and the Wintersday content. Serves me right… Thanks.
