Nah, mail carrier customization was definitely the most important thing ever.

(That came out shortly after the last dev reply saying ‘We have more important projects right now’.)

I so wish that this was actually enforced regarding jump-dodge macroers. They’re easy to spot; the folks in which every dodge is a jump-dodge and not just some of them, even in the most intense combat situations.

Jara-Sensei has practiced the rolling Dodge Jumpu in the Super Adventure boxu for many a century. Now she is a greatu warlordu in her art!

Seriously though, Dodge jumps are wonky and if you were to bind them to your normal jump you’d fail many situations where you need a normal one. Some people are really good at this and can just do it on average by now.

In your post about Colin and his “new legendaries” announcement, there is no reason for him to explicitly say how the legendaries are gonna be released, he ain’t lying, we are getting new legendaries.

Except that he said we will get them with the expansion. : >

Oh, and people who’re not in beta are arguing about the energy issue right? I personally find the current regeneration rate is even faster than thief’s initiative. The costs on weapon skills are minimal, and only the utility skills you need to manage the energy with. Also the switching between legends CD is quite minimal (10 sec default) that I find energy management is not really a huge problem.

Not to mention that Banish Enchantment has a minimal animation and is very hard to dodge for it. Its tell is subtle, the skill is fast, and you might even be hit with it and waste your dodge while the revenant just stands there and keeps spamming the same unblockable aoe confusion / boonstrip combo indefinitely. Not like you can fight it.

And that’s without condi duration food etc as it’s possible in wvw.

Your class relies on boons? Tough luck. You had 15 stacks of might? No you don’t. You’re an engineer and confusion procs three times as much on you? Well, you better reroll.

Imagine a perplexity Revenant. 20 base confusion and the rest he makes up in constant interrupts. Can’t snare him either because he’s gonna be busy having resistance up the butt.

Read my first post again. Especially the little bit in the quotation area. I’m not a time traveller, I just read what Anet wrote. The blog clearly states that we won’t even be getting all the new legendaries with the expansion. Which is where the “lie” bit comes in. Taking apart a post sentence by sentence is fine and dandy, but please read it first.

I honestly don’t fear the expansion’s general quality as much. And the reason I’m more grumped than the Grinch around christmas is simply the fact that “New legendaries” was this big announcement that came hand in hand with Heart of Thorns’ first live reveal, paired with this big, cheeky grin from Colin. Imagine he had announced “Some new legendaries, and the rest come later.” With his “c:” like smirk.

Rightfully so, this is not something that should hold up the launch of the expansion.

I don’t really understand this definition of ‘holding up the expansion’. An expansion is supposed to be a finished product, not half of one, the second half to be patched in later when they feel like it. Or is this something among the lines of…

This might be interesting around this topic. Macros are generally only forbidden if they bring you an in-combat advantage, or allow you to bot your way through content. Otherwise, clicking a lot to play a musical instrument or say, open a lot of bags is in no way an advantage over other players, and thus should be fine.

Gaile Gray

We don’t recommend any. We don’t support them. If a macro causes your refrigerator to explode, we’re not going to get involved. But they are not against the rules, because the rules pertain to gameplay advantages, such as faster kills or more effective defense.

Plus, it’s less out of date than the 2 year old replies. :P

So this post has been discussed a lot.

I personally know a -bunch- of people who sat down and said: “The first thing I wanna do is go for the precursor masteries in Heart of Thorns. I want to be finally able to make a legendary. Ideally one of the new ones.”

But right now that seems impossible.

Linsey Murdock:

For now, I’ll say that we’ve been working on new legendary weapons, the first handful of which will be introduced in Heart of Thorns, with more to come in subsequent updates.

So basically we will get to see a greatsword and 4 others, and then we get to wait half a year for the remaining legendaries? Why was this announced as a feature of the upcoming expansion? Because at this point it’s starting to sound very, very, worryingly much like a direct lie.

Can we have a clear statement, a red post, on whether there will be a -full- set of legendaries? Because it does not -seem- so.

“We will do it later” is not a statement you can throw around when designing an expansion, as opposed to say, the Living Story. And a clear statement would very, very, very much be appreciated. Do we get one legendary for every type? Or do we get five legendaries and have to wait a few more -months- just to be able to make, say, a rifle?

And what, is there other content of the expansion that was announced going to be introduced ‘later’? Because that’s what is called unfinished content.
