It’s not uncommon , but i don’t think it’s neccessary to promote relationships that are counter-productive to a species .
I really think it is time to remove multi-guilding from the game. It’s a generally bad mechanic in my opinion. It makes players more mecenary than they already were and make it harder than necessary to form a solid group of players. It’s an idea that looks good on paper , but it reality it doesn’t deliver . This is just my opinion .
Seems like some people get it and some dont . It’s a great idea to help ppl . It’s a bad idea to make game content that is only for Elitist pricks . So i see two choices. Consider the complaints being made on both sides . If you only want a certain group fo ppl to be able to say they can complete a dungeon . PLease go ahead with your current direction wiht dungeons . However , if you want a the dungeons to be played and enjoyed by more people , if you want people to run aroun d in dungeon armor and tell their friends how cool the game is , consider listening to the people complaining about the difficulty . because if it wasnt so difficult , they woudnt be here kittening , they would be out there collecting tokens .
When GW2 starts pushing players to become more like you, something is wrong.
I’m not looking to play GW2 to mentor people or guide them, that’s not my primary goal in game, I like successful and efficient runs as much as anyone else, but that doesn’t mean I want to be party of a dungeon community that kicks inexperienced people, doesn’t help people to learn or try to grow the possible players we can play with.
I want to live in a perfect world with fluffy bunnies and rainbows where everyone treats each other with respect and help each other too.
Too bad that’s not happening.
The best way people in general learn is if the world gives them a rude awakening, otherwise you just promote bad behavior. I’ve learned this long ago after doing exactly what you did for a while.
Seems like you would rather live in a world where players are rude to each other. Well with the changes Anet has made with the dungeon buffs, nerfing loot drops into the ground and join a huge guild or get lost attitude you should fit right in :-)
Apparently you would rather live in a world where people don’t bother reading before responding.
Yea , Rumblus is undefeatable right now. Warmaster won’t use his shield skill . No way you can heal once you go down. I can’t interrupt him as a ranger . What do you suppose i do ? Whistle dixxie at him ? Or maybe my good looks will get me a victory ..
This is another fail dungeon update . If the warmaster won’t use his sheild, you can’t get back up when uses his rocks , what do you expect of players ? Why do you think this kind of game play is fun ? IT IS NOT FUN . You would have been better off to make the dungeons more like the first GW . They were doable in an hour at most .
You promised the game would be fun . These dungeons are not. Rumblus sucks , and dont get me started on the spider queen.
I completely disagree with this . The dungeons dont need to be harder . If your bored , go craft something , or go do pvp , or go play another game. But don’t tell them to continue to make things so difficult most ppl won’t run them. AC is bad enough as it is right now. We DO NOT need another dungeon ruined by some elitist thinking everything needs a buff. The dungeons need a nerf. No one can do the dungeons at the lvl they are supposed to be. I don’t know anyone inside or outside of my guild that could do AC exp at lvl 35 , even if we all had top notch gear . For god sakes you cant heal up fro the spider queen ‘s poison becuse it’s to potent . And forget Collossus Rumblus , he rocks dont give you any chance to rally . And Warmaster Grast wont use his sheild most of the time so he is useless. So , if that is making things " TO EASY" , is making a dungeon impossible to finish with lvl 80’s in full exotic gear is to easy , go find another game , we don’t want or need you here.
I think this is kitten ridiculous. First , all these ppl saying that AC explorable is fun now , who do you work for ? and who is paying you to agree with everything Anet does. Second , why did you buff the spider queen like you did , Anet ? if you go down , which will happen , your down healing skills have absolutely NO CHANCE of getting up . This is what i can expect from Anet these days ? There is no way a lvl 35 could do this , my groups are all lvl 80’s decked out in good gear and the poison is more than any of us can heal of remove with condition removal . Stop listening to the 5 ppl who always agree with you and listen to the thousands or more who don’t Our money feeds your families and pays your bills . Think on it.
All these ideas are great. Maybe the devs will look into it soon
I love this game . Really i do . But why such terrible skins for the light and heavy armor? I really think a tabard is going a bit cheap. Heavy armor skins should look like plate armor , and why not a look similar to the great coats for light armor . Anyone else think that the guild light and heavy armor skins need an overhaul ?
I agree with the post . We do need more skills , and the ability to choose the weapon skills we want to use . Anet should have known this would happen from the 7 years of GW1 . I’m a big Anet fan , but to see them release a game with so few skills , i have no sympathy for them. They should have known we as GW players would expect to have alot of flexibility and choices . They play other games .. so they know . At this point , it’s not their first rodeo making a game , so they should know what players expect from them.
I’m against multi-guilding period . It doesn’t promote any loyalty to your guild , meaning you can’t count on your guild mates for anything . Here is an idea: Join guild , be active , and help make that guild great . If your not going to be a part of making a guild a bunch people who work together be it a dungeon , or an event , or what ever else your there for ., then don’t join one . Good guilds have no use for players who don’t do their part for the guild they are in.
I Do Not , and probably Never WIll agree with multi -guidling . It destroys the concept of loyalty . And it is that concept to which guilds are built upon .
I want to give a big “YES” to all of what you guys have said. A public test server would give the Anet a much better idea of what the majority of players think about the game , and what they want to see in the future. I really like that Ostra drives the point home about us being customers …. not tools . I know , in my own experience in the first GW , i feel many times Anet looked at the players as more tools for their amusement then actual customers . Once Again , i agree with all of you .
I think it would be good if you reskinned some of the crafted and exotic medium armor sets . The only sets for lvl 80 with a long coat are a couple of dungeon armor sets. I don’t think it’s fair that i worked leather working all the way to 400 and i can craft only crappy looking armor. Also , the Vigil set could use a reskin a s well . It’s just my opinion , but it is terrible looking . Think back to GW1 , look at some of the armor sets like ancient armor or Monument armor . Or some or the armor in GW2 l, say for instance, The duelist set. It’s a loot drop only set. I don’t feel like grinding forever hoping for it to drop the right pieces or hoping the TP has them . I could craft them instead. I think it would be a big improvement for the classes wearing medium armor if you would implement my suggestions
