Very irritating that a patch just came out, yet the problem still persists. I thought the personal story would be more on their radar since it plays a large part of the game for some players. But let’s be honest, many things need to be fixed with ‘Victory or Death’, including but not limited to the actual killing of Zhaitan.

A Ranger with a staff would be incredible! The idea of this makes me happy. Lol

This is what it says and I am running the game on a 13" MBPr with Intel HD Graphics 4000. I know, not even close to ideal, but the game seems to run fairly well on lower settings.

Bottom line, it’s not worth it. Better that you play the game on Windows, or not at all, whilst hoping some magical day comes and something good happens which fixes the OS X client completely.

This is not true whatsoever. I play with the exact specs listed above: Dual Core i7, Intel HD Graphics, 13" MBPr, etc. My MacBook runs the game at 30-35FPS on Medium Settings in WvE and PvP. The game is definitely worth playing. It still looks great too. Just don’t expect great performance in WvW. Is WvW playable? Well of course, but kind of spotty when you near a large zerg.

Is it crashing specifically while in the new Dry Top map, or just in general regardless of what area of the game you are in?

It is happening regardless of where or what I am doing.

So ever since the update of Season 2 of the Living World, I have been experiencing an overwhelming amount of crashes. I am not completely sure what is causing this to happen. The game will either freeze momentarily and kick me to the log in screen, freeze momentarily and kick me to my desktop with an error message, or just freeze entirely forcing me to shut off my computer. It is getting so frequent that the game is becoming unplayable and not worth it. I would like answers. My internet connection is good and this has just not started to happen this frequently, so that should not be the problem.
ArenaNet are you going to help me or ignore this post like all the other ones?
(Sorry for the rude post. I am posting this right after being kicked out of the game the 1000th time. Please understand that I am quite upset.)

Hello, I’m looking to build my own computer to be able to play the game to it’s maximum potential. I want to play on high/ultra settings while also having excellent performance. I have been reading other threads and have seen a lot of different opinions on different CPUs, GPUs, and other parts listed. A lot of lingo that is used when discussing computer parts looks foreign to me, as I am new to the topic. I would just like to ask what builds everyone uses? What processors have you found out to be best, likewise for graphics cards, etc.?
I just need help with what parts to buy to go into my new computer. Thanks!
Oh, and I currently play the game on my MacBook Pro 13" Retina display late 2012. It does okay with the game, just on high settings I only get 18-20 fps.

I recently started playing the game and I am looking for suggestions from experienced players on what profession a newbie, like me, should choose. I want a profession that is simple enough for someone who is not very familiar with the game but strong enough so that we may be able to hold our own in PvE, PvP, and WvW.

I’ve been reading posts about the professions and was very interested in the Elementalist, but was saddened to find out that it’s damage isn’t up to par with the rest of the professions because ArenaNet “nerfed” it. Is this true. Would anyone still recommend an Elementalist?

I would also like to note my interest in Mesmer and Ranger.

Are Mac users able to play with PC Users?
