Guild Wars 2

Well I don’t if this really help you but I can tell a short experience I had. I bought this game with my girlfriend like 4 days ago and we start playing as soon as we bought it and downloaded. I was always telling her about this game since the beta but it was kinda expensive for us and we couldn’t buy it so we wait till we receive the email of the 30% off so we decide to buy it. But when we started playing it we notice that there was a massive lag and we always kept getting frozen in place and then only find our characters dead. We tried decreasing the graphic in the game, trying stuff we read in the forum, trying programs like game booster, called our ISP. I had pretty much kept an tab in my browser of the tech support forum since we started playing to see if any solution came out. But well I heard that a patch was coming out pretty soon so I had hopes that everything was fixed with that and well after the patch everything seem fine for us. We no longer have lag and we can play pretty much perfect we get some d/c every now and then but were pretty much enjoying the game now.
I don’t know if that really help you, I know it was not a similar case to yours.
Also sorry but English is not my first language.

I just have one GW2 folder in my programs file that contain the 4 files you mention(exe, gw2.tmp, gw2.dat and one called crash.dmp)

Hm I wanted to test this because I’m having lag and disconnects but when I open my guild wars 2 folder I can’t find this “local.dat” file. My GW2 folder only contain 4 files and there’s isn’t one called “local.dat”, I got one called GW2.dat but nothing called local.dat
Really want to try this if someone can help me.
